Mission is spawning roughly 30 BC's and had to resort to BS support. BS player has reported being jammed at a distance of 220 km, and at around recieving damage from 200 km. Was this mission meant to be accomplished by a single BC?

The lvl2 one made me lose my cruiser (my mistake I know). No jamming, but a lot of ships that agro at once and too much damage for my Omen to tank. I think "The Blockade" are meant to be hard. They might even be solo-able if you have the proper skills and proper fit.

Level 3 is easy in a Drake (yeah I know...). Level 2 is easy in an assault frig, never done it in a cruiser. Just try not to shoot the triggers and you'll be fine.

Blockade is all about aggro management and killing things in the right order. Once you get the routine down, blockade is fairly easy.

Edited by: Durzel on 12/09/2008 20:18:04 Sadly jamming is about the only thing you can't do anything about as it's chance based with NPCs.
Sensor boosters work vs the insane damping done by Serpentis in Blockade, and tracking computers/enhancers just about deal with the Sansha tracking disruption. Angels, well - they just paint you which has never really been a big problem.

I've managed to complete The Blockade L3 (Serpentis) in an Enyo. Tough, but very, very fun.

I suppose it depends on which rat grp your going up against and your play style. I managed w/ little trouble a couple times doing vs serpents, but then I just killed the stasis tower ASAP then kicked on the AB and kited (using a myrm, tech 1 hammerheads main damage - ~ 500k SP in drones and gunnery, and enough mech for hardeners) - fairly slow overall, but never in danger of getting blown up.

Did this in a myrmiddon while i had around 1 million skillpoints. Kiting was required since at the time I used a passive SHIELD tank. Yes, the myrmiddon is very well suitd for passive shield tanking, of course an armor tank is superior if you have the skills for it, i didn't.
The key was to kite them. Drones and any long range weapon works. Get your drones on the dampening rats as soon as possible; even the battlecruisers in this mission seemed to be made of paper except for the "guardian" high resist variety. Also if you're unfamiliar with eve-survival.org i suggest you get familiar if you intend to run a lot of missions. It makes it pretty damn easy.

I finished the mission (Blockade lvl 3 Gurista - might be easier than the others) solo in a Drake, I dont have too good skills yet (playing for 32 days now, and not all the time going straight for the best ... :D) but still it was not too much of a problem. I just ran out of ammo sometime (had only 1k of missiles with me ..) but the damage never was a problem. You have to fit the right hardeners though, else it might get nasty. I didnt care too much about aggro management, also coz I wanted to try how much I can really tank with my ship (I knew there would be no scrambling, so ...)
Which ship did you try, and how are your skills and fitting?

I believe you mean that last room where you are supposed to warp back home since the mission is already done?
Yes if you stay there and start fighting the last group you will get heavy dps.

You're thinking of Recon (2 of 3), there's no "last room" in Blockade - you warp right into the mission and warp out when you're finished.

Started this with blood raiders in my amar battle cruiser and quickly realized i needed my vexor for this. Got it and after that it was quite easy kiting an entire fleet while my t1 drones took them out Took a little while though.

Yes, it was. You just messed it up. Don't trigger all the waves at once.
