Right, I don't run missions alot really I usually just tag along on someone else's back or get people to do my kill missions and build standings that way. I dont want to train any ships for PVE other than the class I have atm which is Cov ops(as I use this class for my main activites). Right now thats out of the way I have a couple of questions;
1) Im guess the Nemesis is probably my best choice of ship over the Helios for PVE(am I right?) but what would the highest lvl missions this could do easily(lvl 2) ?
2) Can anyone give me a setup for running lvl 2's in a Nemesis ? I don't mind training support skills and the like but I dont want to train any other ship class at this moment in time.
I know this is a strange request and will probably get people who haven't read the entire post saying "why don't you just train for a cruiser !!!!111!" In our lifetime those who kill The newsworld hands them stardom And these are the ways On which I was raised......

I've done 2/10 plexes in high sec with a Stealth Bomber easily, its not really out of the question honestly.
They are pretty fragile, so your best tank would be to put them at range.

Damb those nemesis are hard to fit.

yes, I did read the whole post first.... but you DO know it'll take you less than one day to have a cruiser with medium guns to mission in, right?
you already have frigate V, you could use an assault frigate as well. AFs are exceptional when it comes to low level missioning.

Edited by: Xori Ruscuv on 13/09/2008 22:13:32 Vexor for level 2s? Pretty much anything will work. MAR II, 2 rat specific hardeners, 800mm plate, some small railguns (150s?) with ammo that can hit at 15-20km solidly, AB, web (not even sure you need a web), cap rechargers.
When this char was a mission ***** (when I was a little more of a nubbin ) I did L2s in a Thorax... Small rails, 1600mm plate, MAR II, 2 rat spec hardeners and a MFS II, AB, cap rechargers.

The other poster's idea of an Assault Frig is a very nice idea as well. An Ishkur can handle up to level 3 missions (slowly) where a cruiser has problems tanking (just kill any webbers first). And can go play in level 1/2 complexes if you run across them.

I've done it. I ran lvl 2's with a hound easily. Watch the %&!@ out for "deadly arrival" - lost mine just the other night to that one.
My reccomendation, slap on a 200mm plate if you can, just something so that if you DO wind up getting shot, it'll give you enough time to warp out.
I just used 3 limo's with standard missiles, improved cloak, a couple sensorboosters with range script in the mids, plus an afterburner/sheild booster or w/e you want. But in the lows I didn't have any BCU's, I had the armor, and to be honest, I don't recall what else I had in the lows but I know it was there for safety's sake.
Anyways happy hunting :)

lol just read this, sorry to double post. Since I lost my hound the other night, I recently jumped into a rupture and starting running missions with it. To be honest...it just doesn't feel as satisfying, but it's got a helluva lot more tank then the SB does, and a close call in a cruiser is a lot less edgy then a close call in an SB.
-however- I spent a fair bit of time training while using the SB and have much more skills in missiles then I do in medium turrets, so I actually ran missions like 5-10 times faster in the SB then I do in a cruiser, but that's just a matter of training up my turret skills now. So the choice is yours, again- good luck :)

Use a MAPC and fit a Medium Extender with a Small Booster.
