Edited by: Rajere on 15/09/2008 02:57:29 Huzzah was at 300ish when we left, and have been around that size for a really long time. They added alot of members lately, but if the new people leave or zarine needs to boot them it doesn't mean anything, unless they drop down below 300ish members or key member corps are part of the ones leaving.
edit: lol el covah. as if you had anything to do with any of those alliance's deaths. You may not be able to get a fight with 100ppl in your gang, but you'll never be able to get a good fight as long as you nap everyone within 30 jumps of you who plays in your time zone. Try limiting your naps to just syndicate euro's like you used to do instead.

Raj - you are right of course. None of the key (long term) member corps have been cut, and whilst you're right we didn't "kill" those alliances (impossible to do in NPC 0.0 as you well know), to say we had nothing at all to do with their respective departures/disbanding is not accurate either. As with these things the truth lies somewhere in between. Maybe catalyst is the right term.
As to the other matter you raised - well lets just say "watch this space". We know how we got to this place and it isn't going to happen again any time soon. _______________________

BRUCE was the catalyst in killing OSS a long time ago. Maybe Huzzah was the catalyst in killing what was left of OSS.

You could say PL killed BRUCE, or that FOOM killed BRUCE, or some combination of the above. BRUCE killed OSS, NOTR tried to help saj rebuild OSS but they could never rebuild their euro core, as they had all went off and formed SOT. NOTR (corp) killed NOTR (alliance), and we probably had more to do with killing OSS v2.0 than you guys, not intentionally, we're just a fickle bunch. Though in truth they simply got tired of trying to put it back together and went to rejoin the euro's in SOT. NOTR How to Fail at Eve

I think that we were the catalyst that NOTR and OSS just made there plans happen faster then they would have without us. No matter what happened i want to thank anyone for the fun we had together.
The fights we had were a blast. Especially the one in A-Z vs RA. Never was a POS defense so fascinating. 15 guys repairing at POS with dreads already cynoing in. They started to shoot the POS a few seconds after we restronted it.

No you pretty much just delayed us. Syndicate was dead as dead, we'd just rejoined OSS who were the only other USTZ pvpers. We were debating what to do, maybe FW maybe a different NPC or even true 0.0, but FW had killed soli/aridia and there wasn't anything to shoot in syndicate. Huzzah starting up the POS warfare kept us in synd dealing with that for an extra month.
The only reason RA shot that POS is because of a miscommunication, and basically I had the guy drop the cyno at the POS instead of on the gate with the fleet (because that would be ******ed). We sat there and watched the thing getting repped for like an hour, knew it was close to 50% and was saying "look now or never, you want this thing or not?" but RA was just skittish same as last time in 617i. I never imagined it would be so difficult trying to give someone dyspro moons :/ NOTR How to Fail at Eve

Don't listen to Das. Word on the street is that he can't even afford a Megathron, let alone escape from any gatecamps with it.

Although i love to read COAD on occasions i very rarely post. However on this occasion i think i might...
Huzzah Federation means alot to the remaining people left within, as im sure is the same for everyone else in an alliance. However i see no reason to hate or dislike other corps/alliances due to the fact without each other "EVE" would be pretty boring.
So my point is that does it really matter who contributed to the removal of OSS,BRUCE,NOTR and who ever else? Surley even the half witted folk among us can agree that?
All i ever care about is that when i log on i do it because i want to have fun with friends, surly if EVE wasn't fun noone would log on? right? All i know is that im proud to be in Huzzah and if we was to disband it would ruin my game. So guys less of the trash talk, were all here for the same reasons.... think about it for a minute.
happy days and happy pew pew.

Wow... some serious number dropping... they did indeed fall below 300. I figured this was a troll at first, but maybe it's for real? If it's just slimming down as they say, that's quite the diet.

As a member of 1 of the corps who was kicked, i have a slightly skewed perspective from the remaining Huzzah corps. When alliances grow in size the responsibility of its leadership gets heavier. For what ever reason they claim to have "slimmed down" it was because of the disatisfaction of the core founding corps having to deal with problems that arise in a large alliance. At the end it became a whine fest of the euro tz vs the US tz. Finally Zarnie posted an alliance mail evicting 8 or so corps (all but the founding corps) because his gaming experience wasnt fun anymore. All in all, i had a good time in Huzzah, most of the guys were a pleasure to fly with and polite. FC's are kinda **** or at least hard to find. If you step up and take a gang out, you dont get any cooperation, you just get a bunch of jackasses that cant hold comms. After reminising on things that went wrong, things that we did, things that Huzzah did, ive gotta say huzzah is better off where they are now, and so are we. My only advice to Huzzah is just play the game, and let players be players. Let them have fun. And you better do something about your lack of US TZ players cause any alliance with half a brain can take your moons while you sleep. Im curious to see how much "fun" zarnie has repping POS's. Got anymore nid's zarnie? I see you lost 1 today repping in pc9.

Not really. US vs Euro POS warfare heavily favors Euro. While you're asleep your POS is reinforced, but your default stront timer is 2 days minus 6 hours from when the attack finished, which means a POS reinforced at 9pm CST comes out by default 2 days later at 9pm in France (or whatever). So not only does a US group need to have someone available to time stront to not screw over their pos timing, by reducing stront you have about 1 day really or less of actual reinforced time to prep.
POSes reinforced in late Euro come out in russian primetime, etc so forth, each groups prime time results in default timer coming out 6 hours before they did it 2 days later, so everyone has a group that their primetime favors. For those in USTZ, the group you want attacking your POS is the aussies, all 3% of them that make up the player base. How to Fail at Eve

[SP0RE] was in HUZZAH a while back and we enjoyed the PvP we had there immensely. Other stuf went fairly well too so we would only have good things to say about them by and large.
There were some great people to fly with in HUZZAH and a vocal few who weren't so great.
Alliances are difficult beasts at the best of times and its impossible to keep everyone happy, the bigger they get the more the problems multiply so I can understand why Zarnie felt the need to trim the fat if things were getting unpleasant.
Just not worth it.
I doubt that HUZZAH will be going anywhere anytime soon and we wish them all the best. |
