So I got podded yesterday while training skirmish warfare 4. Drat. Well, no biggie, I'll just replace my Charisma and Willpower implants, the two attributes used for this skill.
Without implants my remaining skill time is 2d 10h roughly. I always check just out of curiousity to see time saved. So I plug them in.
New time? 2d 15h. WTF? +4 implants ADDED 5 hours to my skill training time?
Has anyone else noticed anything else like this?

I'm going to guess you had +5 implants before you got podded? As skills keep the same training time until cancelled if you get podded, you would have kept training like you had + 5 implants. If you then paused training to add +4 implants you would actually end up with a longer training time remaining.

What he said. You should have waited.

That's an interesting bug. I actually had +4 implants before and replaced with the same. Didn't know it kept training at the previous level. I will remember that.
Still, the time should've been the same. Ah well, maybe it's just me.

You sure you actually got the right attributes? Could be something as stupid as putting in the wrong implants. ------------------ Fix the forums! |

Did you have a clone with enough SP?

Important to note that they've apparently fixed the bug which allows skills to continue training at implanted rates after a podding - it may take a DT to show up but it apparently doesn't work any more. --

Just as a followup for anyone else having had this happened. My clone is fine. No SP lost. I verified it is the right implants for the skill.
Only thing I can think of if working as intended is that I had +5 implants and only remember having +4. Either way, it is what it is. Not much I can do about it now.

That's incorrect information. That bug has NOT been fixed, (as I have tested by getting podded training AWU 5 with +5 implants. For the next WEEK training times were still acting like I had the +5's in... until I had to clone jump and stop training anyway.

Have you tried clearing your cache and re-logging?
Sometimes the skills glitch/bug out/don't display correctly, clearing cache usually fixes it.

This issue is similar to the one in my thread here: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=863923
Must be a language barrier issue or something. According to the dude that answered my bug report, the implanted training rate is not supposed to continue after a podding. Fine, I understand that it's still an unrepaired bug. But I couldn't seem to get him to understand that since the patch, my training rate HAD dropped to +0 from +4, though I had done nothing to pause or change the skill I was training. I wonder if your calculation problem is related. I think I need to learn Icelandic! ------------------------------------------- Don't pod me, bro! |
