Hi there,
I understand that with Anchoring Skill Level 1, I am able to anchor a Secure Container in a 0.7 - 0.5 Space whereby it would not be accessible to others when I set my password for the Anchored Secured Containers.
I like to verify as I have 2 conflicting answers,
Qn : When I place the Giant Secure Containers in my ship with password set, if my ship is destroyed, would pirates be able to access the goods in my secure containers?
I got one source that tells me that goods in the giant secure containers are safe in ships and would not be accessible to pirates if they destroy the ships.
The other source tells me that no secure containers is non-accessible in ships' cargohold when the ships is destroyed.
I have asked this on help channel and continue to receive mixed replies.
I have tried googling the answer for eve online on this issue, but have not had much luck in retrieving the knowledge,
could anyone please point me to the correct answer?
Thanks ! Blue Angels Defenders

Pilots who pick up secure containers from wreck loot can indeed retrieve the contents of those containers. |

The password of a GSC ONLY works when the container is ANCHORED in space. If it is in your hold it's just an open storage can. If it is floating in space unanchored it's just a jetcan of limited size. Only once it's anchored will the password keep looters out.
There are audit log containers that work from hangars, but even there i doubt they'd work if picked up from your wreckage. There simply isn't a way to deny loot from pirates other than making sure they won't get to blow your ship up.

^^ as above.
anyway, even if you COULD, they could always just repackage it, eliminating the password and ejecting the contents into your hanger :S --
