I am getting Market messages that say "item already bought" or "not available" even though there are thousands of the selected items available. Even skill books.
I see talk about this in alliance and ally channels. The problem is intermittent and not constant. And it happens in lots of stations across a few regions. Surprised I cannot find a thread on this here. =)
What is the status of this bug that prevents us from buying or selling normal items on the open market?
Or, if anyone has a known fix, please submit it here.
Many thanks!

the workaround i used was to buy out the first available of the item i was after. this is not practical for skills but worked when i was buying minerals. game refused to let me buy 400k nocxium, the seller was selling 550k, so i tried buying him out, and was successful. it seems to be a bug with the games searching for lower prices in station before you can buy the one your after. even if you choose a smaller ammount, you need to choose exactly the ammount of the lowest buyer.

The market itself is working fine but we have found a client/server communication issue where the client will not invalidate its cache and therefore not refresh its information when an order has already been bought by someone else.
This has been fixed internally and the plan is to hotfix in tomorrow's DT (18 Sep). The deployment is server-side only.

I'm sorry but that's an absolute joke.
The market in Jita, one of the integral parts of the game, is completely unusable, and you intend to leave it for a full day before you fix it?

Personally I think this is a master stroke by CCP staff, in one fell swoop we have solved the problem of market hubs and now we can go back to the barter system!! I miss the mystique of hanging around at a designated moon with my cargo hold full of slaves, waiting to trade them for a choice Faction module!
PS..... NOT!

Jesus calm down there, its only a day in game.... you can buy one thinhg, relog and repeat, its a pain and takes a while but maybe it'll help you ppl out that seem to be raging over it, and are experiencing market withdrawals.

lol yeah, let's rush hotfixes without testing and break even more!
Seriously, I'm glad they fixed it, even if it takes an extra day do deploy it nicely / bugfree... _

The market itself is working fine but we have found a client/server communication issue where the client will not invalidate its cache and therefore not refresh its information when an order has already been bought by someone else.
This issue would in particular exhibit itself in market hubs when buying items that have high transaction volumes.

Thanks for the update and fix.

Market is still buggy, whenever I put up an order EVE freezes for a few seconds. The first "box" appears, EVE freezes again. When I hit cancel, same old story all over again.
Somewhat annoying.

I dont belive this to be true. 1 had problems with selling to buy orders. 2 spent a long time trying to buy a skill book in an empty system and a skill that is hardly used, this goes against buying items that have high transaction volumes

I'm getting this too since yesterday. I thought it was something up with my PC until I realised that it was only the market that was freezing up.
It's taking me ages to modify long lists of buy/sell orders.
