You missed my point by a country mile. When I say 'noob', I'm not talking about what's in your skillsheet --

Originally by: Pteranodon If we aspire to fly a new ship it will come with a lot of unanswered questions.
If we have good basic skills there is no reason why we should not grasp the nettle of learning a new ship that takes us into unchartered territory. This often means flying a ship which we are not familiar with & consequently a new set of modules to bring out the best in that ship.
The majority of people in the forum are really helpful but we have to suffer a handful of patronising know it alls who will put anybody down by ramming there superior skills down your throat.
It has reached a point where a lot of people are fearful of asking a question because of the expected backlash.
What is the point of having a forum where you are frightened to ask a question because of a handful of people who are discourteous & ruin the experience for everbody.
We were all new at some point-I know I am & everybody has the right to ask questions, learn & progress & not expect the forum experience to be nasty.
I thank all of you who have been helpful & those you have been unhelpful-remember you yourselves had questions when you started with Eve-I just hope you got answers more inline with what decent helpful should give.

Which, in a way, kind of proves the OP's point. Even if he is apparently a hypocrite.

What about looking in a mirror? You often manage to be both patronizing and stupid in the same post.
I can't believe he posted that...
Where's Pottsey when you need him to lay the smack down? I wish the thread weren't locked.

You really are obnoxious-you started trading the insults by calling me a moron. Your exactly the sort of person this post is aimed at. What you sow you shall reap. The Dominix is not best suited as a Shield tank that is all I was saying-I mean I don't exactly see shield tanked Domi's listed in the top 10 Eve fits. Yes it is possible to shield tank a Domi but it is not the most popular fit & before you start trolling my skill set with the Domi I have BS5, DI5 & tec2 tank.
And there is your lack of understanding. The dominix is capable of mounting one of the best shield tanks, active or passive. Only the Vulture (debatable), Golem, Scorpion and Drake have an easy time out-tanking it. The reason most people fit armour tanks is because they need their mid-slots for other things or need capacitor to fuel their remote reps. Or, perhaps some people are as ignorant as you are.
You claim you want to learn and want friendly people to impart knowledge in a friendly manner, and then shove your ignorance down their throat like a jumped-up ingrate.

Proof, if any was needed, that the forum is 'working as intended' so to speak.
Thread delivers.
...and on that note, if you want to go emo, there are other games out there more suitable for you...like The Sims. Install it, build a house with pretty sesame street wallpaper, burn it down because you don't know how to use a stove, and cry about it.

Thread is not constructive. Content has simply deteriorated into players biting at each other.
