i fail to see how getting an implant in a loot drop, and then putting it in my head loses me money
some people are negative beyond belief
(although i suppose if you assume i already had one, and was intending to sell it...)

Good to hear that this made its way into the patch. The change was promised after it was discoverd that the change in missions distribution made the implant frequency from security/combat agents drop. This happened because the implant mission was a courier run, and the distribution was altered so that combat agents gave less courier work.

There have been some issues with this patch, and they will be fixed, but there has also been some good stuff to come out of it. There's a lot more good stuff on the way.

READ THE PATCH NOTES
Seriously guys, if you dont read the patchnotes we get silly posts in these forums like 'omg ive found new ship called intercepter' or 'omg ive gotten implant from mission'.

Joe, he said he got the Implant from a loot can. Not from the agent which is how I read the patch notes to mean.

sorry i cant remember any more but i must have fell off my seat when i opened the can, and banged my head on the corner of the desk....
ps: seeing some of the responses above (you should have sold it, people will pod u now, etc) ... well (a) i'd rather save real training time than make money and (b) it looks like losing an implant wont be such a big deal in the future, as they will be more widespread (and therefore cheaper)
edit: oh and to whoever said rats have always dropped implants.... i've done maybe 1000+ missions and never had one before

Hmmm ... i thought i'd had that mission, but thinking about it, i think it was the one feature cald navy detective and not the blackbird ... shall have to wait and find out :)

congratulations well done i'm happy for you...your right about the patch its shows in places just like mid battle with a good level 3 mission rat...or two...and the report from you letting others know is kind decent and noble...few and far between these days in eve...thanks for the report...ah...which agent was that????

I don't wanna rain on everyones parade, but I fear the loot tables for the rat on that mission are fubared. (i.e. there is stuff dropped that shouldnt be dropped)
I did the same mission yesterday (Revenge of a fallen comerade) and I got 100 garbage as loot.

i suppose the implant is intermittent... time will tell how often it's dropped

The boss rat was rather annoyed at them for losing that implant, and they have been reassigned to garbage hauling again.
