second, read every guide and get the chart and get ready for the long long haul to
be competitive. What I mean is its going to take a year. Yes a YEAR to get the training skills for all the the things you will need to know not to get Pwnd
over and over again. Oh sure, you MIGHT get into a corp that will hand hold you through low sec. But its going to take a YEAR before you are going to be able to make any long runs through it without becoming a greasy smear by yourself. The world has been running for a while and it is filled with podding monsters.

Third, welcome to the grind. again you will NOT be able to do anything of value in lo sec or 0.0 space unless you have the skills for the tech 2(or better) gear. All the money in the world will not make up for the grinding time to learn what you need to know. If you are lucky and get into a largish corp you might be able to take your basic ship out. But expect to be running PVE missions just to make the money needed to pay for all of the training. Expect endless runs for cigarettes and sythetic oil and a few missions over and over again. HOW many of those damn white birds did I save?

Point is, PVP out of the box is close to impossible even with a corp holding your hand. Oh I am sure there are exceptions to the rule. But you will be giving CCP your money for a year before you stop loosing ships left and right. billions of isk and countless hours of PVE , In a year you will learn that unless you have a corp that you can have people scout the jumpgates you can and will still get melted.

I highly recommend the read of the golden rules above. It sets the tone about what to expect. there are no "heroes" in this game. You WILL NOT ever become the lone wolf, ronin or whatever of justice. Space is a cold dark place and you will just end up a frozen corpse.

For myself I think this is the last month of the game for me. The fustration level is just too high and progression far too slow, even with a pile of implants. And I caught myself trying to melt someone who was in the game for a week. I removed the target lock just in time. I am not that sort of person. Oh yes give me some guy who is a bastard pirate and let me melt him. But I was actually trying to melt some guy for no good reason except to do it because it had been done to me so many times.

I felt like I was a prison guard from the Stanford experiment. Don't like the reward system for being a complete Git. smashing evil Fu*ks yay! Crushing people because I can..Umm no.. There should be something more than just your sec status hit. Perhaps random "concord hunters" looking for you. But I digress.
