Interesting question, sooner or later someone will start selling subterranian plots.
They already do: mineral rights.
As far as I am aware, no correction is applied at the boundary for curvature, as the depth of all mines and boreholes to date has been negligible compared to the Earth's radius. Not to mention it makes no sense to "own" anything below the point at which rock flows.

a very stupid thing with Mineral rights, if someone owns the minerals under your land. you cant legally prevent them access to those minerals. course it wouldnt stop me from urinating down the vent shaft they stuck through my yard or dumping the snow off my driveway down it....

In Britain, at least, since they don't own the surface land they would have to make reparation for any damage they cause to it. ________________________________________________
