Let it be known, if you want change in Eve you should go to all online news sources and whine and cry foul about how X is unethical, or Y makes CCP a bad company. If you're able to drum up enough manufactured outrage then CCP will immediately cave and do whatever you want.
This tactic has been used by both sides, firstly by The Mittani during the Monoclegate and Jita riots related to microtransactions. An emergency CSM summit was called and CCP caved instantly to player demands. Now, adversaries of The Mittani have used the exact same strategy to force CCP to ban him from the game and kick him off the democratically elected player council (the CSM). No harm and no foul was caused by Mittani's words, as directly stated by "the victim" himself who the metagamers are pretending to white knight for. CCP has even gone so far as to reverse many proposed changes that were endorsed by The Mittani solely because he was the one endorsing them.
The lesson here is, if you want to promote change in Eve Online, go create bad publicity for CCP in online news sites and you'll instantly get what you want. The player council can no longer be considered democratic as it no longer represents the players who elected the officials. |

Now people can claim to have emotional scarring from an in game action and get people banned, just thought everyone should know. Things are only impossible until they are not. |

So do we get to vote for a new CSM member? If so what happens when Mittens wins again? |

I was once mugged on my way home from work. My money was stolen, as well as my bike. The other day, one of my characters was awoxed. It was so similar to the incident that I experienced a trigger and am soon to be rehospitalized for a medication switch. I told him that I was once mugged in a similar fashion and he continued to kill my ship.
This incident has had a severe detrimental effect on my mental state, and he went so far as to taunt me afterwards about killing my Ishtar. I'm going to file a petition demanding reimbursement and his banning. |

I don't see how that would work for other things. I mentioned in another thread that I'd someday like to be able to point my ship in one direction, hit the warp drive and fly out into an empty "pocket" of dark space.
How would one go about doing what your'e saying, with that change in mind?

Cause Goons never do that. Well, technically, you started it.
But starting the bad behavior and running around and bragging about doing it is ALMOST THE SAME as never doing it. |

CCP must be breathing a sigh of relief that the CSM chairman who caused them so much trouble during monoclegate gave them an excuse to kick him off. The successes of CSM6 are the real reason The Mittani got kicked. |

First they announce that the titan nerf will be rolled back and then they ban the person who influenced the nerf the most. /tinfoilhat
Edit: He also fought hard against the cash cow that was going to be the AUR market. You can be sure CCP is not sad to see him go. |

It's true, CCP hates democracy. Else they'd respect our votes and our opinions. But once again the only thing they respect is the publicity that the game gets. Greed is good. |
