I just finished Amarr Cruiser V and bought shiny new Absolution. Now I know how to fit all the high/mid/low slots for pvp, but my doubts are about rigs. It definitely has to do with cap, since I can't fit cap inject with mwd, scram, web in my mid slots and no I don't want to drop web for cap inject.
So any ideas? What are you using when heading out to pvp? x2 ccc's? I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me saying "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals. |

drop the web, ur pulse shld have long enough range + tracking without, use a cap injector there. Im not an ammar pilot, but that seems the go, also i think abso's are best suited for tanking rigs.. Awesome EVE history

well, I use the abso as anti-nano work, so I slapped 2 tracking rigs in it.
shocking I know, but it will pop any non-snaked vaga that decides to even warpscram me ---

Normally mids are fitted with mwd, point, cb and dual rep. Wich means youd fit 2 rep rigs. ----------------------------------------- [Video] Support Barrage |

I'd go with Aux Nano Pump and Anti-Thermic Pump.
You also really do need that cap booster. "I got soul but I'm not a soldier" |

Why not? Sure for larger engagements a plate is better but for smaller ones dual rep is a fine tank. ----------------------------------------- [Video] Support Barrage |

Edited by: Rekorb on 24/09/2008 11:36:59 Ok, I think it will be easier if I tell you that I'm going to play with it in low sec in small gangs. I do mean to use dual rep, so maybe x2 nano pumps or 1 nano pump and 1 nanobot accelerator?
EDIT: Alt posting.

I use my abso for low sec and use : 2x Mar, 2x eanm, 1x dc, 2x heat sink and 1x rigs nano pump + 1x rigs thermic resistance.

The "tracking rigs" and "no web + cap inject" advice works well in EFT.
Shame I'm still a bit ways off on flying the ship myself :( -

Edited by: Lyria Skydancer on 24/09/2008 12:10:33 For solo Id suggest something like this though:
[Absolution, New Setup 1] Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Internal Force Field Array I Adaptive Nano Plating II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Warp Disruptor II Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Cap Booster 800
Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Medium Unstable Power Fluctuator I
Auxiliary Nano Pump I Ancillary Current Router I
Hobgoblin II x5
If youre mobile. If youre fighting at a station you can fit a web instead of mwd. Put out like 800dps overheated. ----------------------------------------- [Video] Support Barrage |

Linkage
not as damaging or tanky as lyria's, but it was made with the purpose of anti-nano work.

I think alot of people fit 2x aux nano pumps, maybe trimarks or maybe even ccc's for a mwd/web/scram setup.
But i mostly posted to say i soooo love your sig I should tell the same to my grandma i think...

Edited by: Cpt Branko on 24/09/2008 12:44:26 Trimarks.
You can fit a 1600mm RT setup with trimarks which has EHP in the battleship levels (a slight bit over 100K EHP unslaved), while having a warfare link, MWD, etc - while contributing quite solid amounts of DPS (with cruiser tracking, so it adds extra capability to a heavy gang). It is quite CPU tight, unfortunately, so a splash of best named (or faction) is neccesary, as well as downgrading two guns to FMPs.
If you're not fitting a warfare link, then you don't really do that much for your gang imo (although if that was the case, your fitting issues go away and you can roll with a full rack of HPLs).

Unless you were skirmishing deep in 0.0. where a supply of cap boosters isn't readily available, I would add a cap injector every time. You will run out of cap quite quickly even without the help of neuts, and will be a very expensive wreck.
I dislike cap rigs on PvP setups generally, seems like a waste.

Depends, i generally fit cap rigs on my zealot because a. everything fits without rigs, b. armour rigs make it slower (just what every cruiser wants) and c. lazor :P rigs make it not fit, 30% extra recharge isn't shabby & it's come in useful afew times. -------------------------

Like I said, generally I don't but there are always exceptions.
If i'm not intending on using an injector on a cruiser sized ship for whatever reason, I prefer medium and large cap batteries though especially on the Zealot. Extra regen from cap rigs isn't much at all on most setups I use and if neuted it gives you a bit more time to react, and the cap to MWD/rep or whatever a bit longer.
Not to say its not right though, just not my cup of tea.
