Has anyone else recently had problems with modules going offline for 'no apparent reason'?
I've had it happen a few times recently with both my battlecruiser and my battleship. I logged out, docked, sat in my battlecruiser, and when I logged back in and undocked my shield booster was offline.
With my battleship, I docked, changed to another ship, flew around a bit, came back to the battleship, and again, the shield booster was offline.
On neither of the occasions I've mentioned did I access the fitting screen, or attempt to change my fittings in any way. I also haven't died and lost any skill points, or done anything else that would mean that I suddenly can't run the modules that have been offlined.
Does anyone have any idea why it might have been happening? I'm just curious because I know one day I'll end up not noticing till I'm in a big fight :)

I have same problem with smartbomb on my carrier. Annoying.

If you have overloaded a module until it breaks, dock up and repair and then undock the module will be offline. ----------------------------------------- [Video] Support Barrage |

Thanks for the responses.
I don't even have the thermodynamics skill yet, so don't overheat modules.
I've been asking around in game, a friend has a similar problem with their armour repairer. It's weird how it always seems to be the same module for each person who is experiencing the bug...

In my experience clone jumping will offline some grid hungry modules in the ship you were in when you clone jumped. Bug reported as such but the bug hunter could not reproduce even it it happens vary often for me.
This is especially annoying when you have "hide passive modules" selected and it offline stuff line an armor plate... -- I'm done whining about AFs, it looks like they are making them right \o/ |

I'm pretty sure this happens because when you get out of your ship it no longer has the same powergrid/cpu/fitting skills as when you are sat in it with your skills taking effect.
I believe the module that is offlined is usually the most power hungry one. I'll be accused of being a left-wing radical, a right-wing oppressor and a libertarian libertine.
I'll plead guilty to all of the above.

I've only had this happen once recently, but it was when I jumped into a ship I use often with a different jumpclone than normal. I had all the requirements to online it (no fitting implants in either clone) so not sure why. I think it offlined one artillery and my large repairer, from memory.

I have been experiencing that bug with a Laser turret on my Zealot. I KNOW it was not from Jump Cloning as I have not clone jumped in a couple of weeks but have experienced the issue a couple of days ago. I got back from a trip to Jita, jumped into my trusty Zealot, undocked and noticed there was a module offline. Has happened 3 times recently.

I have noticed this happen on my tight fitted ships. Often, its a turret/weapon offline and/or a repper/shield booster.
I'm guessing when you leave the ship, the former skill-affected CPU/PG is reverted to the ship's base, making it offline some mods sometimes (and most often it happens on one mod that really goes above the base CPU/Grid) -
