Edited by: piratezxp on 24/09/2008 13:35:53 Edited by: piratezxp on 24/09/2008 13:32:59 Hihi!
So - i have 3 accounts, using 2 screens... 1 30" and 1 19", i run two in my 30" monitor and another in my 19" monitor, but it never keeps the settings that i set it too - such as resolution etc etc, or i would change a setting and it would go accross all 3 eve clients (not automatically, after a client restart)
Are the settings for the eve clients based in the directory? - if so which file does the settings, so i can maybe write alittle app to lauch 3 eve clients with different resolutions.
Any help would be cool :)

I could be mistaking here, but will this not be solved if you run three separate installs? Each install has its own settings folder located under:
"%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\" on XP "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\" on vista
Example from Vista:
1. Install TQ client - This will give you the settings in this folder if you use the default install "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility" 2. Copy it to two new folders 3. Name the folders EVE2 and EVE3 - This will give you the following settings folders for those two installs "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_EVE2_tranquility" and "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_EVE3_tranquility"
This way all of your three clients should have separate settings and cache folders.

Edited by: piratezxp on 24/09/2008 13:52:12 Dear Casqade. Thank you for a speedy responce. This way would work, but its not the best for every user...
I guess its good that i have alot of HDD space lol...
I will try creating a proggie that changes these files to settings that the user gives it and launches eve clients from the settings... should work :P
Thanks for your reply.

If you are running XP just copy the entire game directory to a new location eg: I name each different copy to correspond with the login name. Then create a short of eve.exe from each directory on your desktop. Again I name each shortcut to correspond with the login. Now edit the shortcut and add "/end /LUA:OFF" (don't include the commas) after what is in the "Target" field.
You will have to setup your UI but now each time you start that particular copy and make changes the changes will stick.

Please remember that the /end /LUA:OFF switch is not officially supported and might, probably will, make funny things to your settings and cache when you patch.
