Mr Mittens and his verbal abuse of another player was not the only thing that occured . Mittens INSIGHTED others to help him ridicule this poor member. Now we would all agree that eve is not always a HAPPY PLACE, however it is a game, not some special arena for people to abuse and harass others. Mr Mittens as the leader of one of the largest alliances in the game has OFTEN used his members to affect the outcomes of votes to wars to the price of ships. Clearly its not the FIRST TIME Mr Mittens has INSIGHTED his player base.
I CALL UPON THE CSM and CCP to check every mail Mr. Mittens has sent to his player base to see how many more of our fellow players have been ABUSED by Mr Mittens and his MINONS. If CCP finds that there are OTHER BREACHES where players have been harassed at the insistance of Mr Mittens I think that each of the players who participated in the herassment should also be banned from the game we all love.
It would seem to me that if CCP knowingly allows its players to be harassed on a regular basis legal action in the form of a class action law suit, pressure put upon Sony and Advertisers, and coverage from non gaming sites could be the penalty, and that would hurt the game for all of us.
Being a bully, cyber or otherwise, should not be allowed in a game where people come to have fun. There are enough problems in real life, I think it is time that the CSM and CCP put and end to the GOONISH behavior.

Preach it brother. But I don't think it is far enough. The CSM needs to implement the removal of all alcohol and alcohol related events from future fanfests as that is the true cause of all of this evil! |

The goonies are really out in force tonight. I have spent the last half hour mailing the ones that seem really the most mad and offering to be the voice of goonies on the CSM since their 5,000 member alliance does not have so much as an alternate to represent their views.
I was shocked to get mails back that were threatening or insulting after my offer of support for them during this most difficult time. If any of you goonies need to get some representation for CSM issues, I am here to help, Sincerely Daruis III sitting member of CSM6 and CSM7 elect

For the Goonies and Goon like supporters, the world has changed and it is time to either police yourselves or to understand that others are not about to put up with your HURTFUL antics. When your goal is to insult, badger, harass, degrade and ruin the game for other people it is easy to understand why you are not so popular. What Mr MIttens did is possibly a crime, what you all have done by following him is an offence.
Hopefully you as a group will learn a little tolerance, but if not, I am very hopeful that the CSM and CCP will enforce the rules to make you a little more tolerant.
We can have good fights, we can have brilliant stratagy from our leaders, we can have a great game without all the anger, demeaning and insulting ways the goon types traditionally bring. The idea that "you are just a character pretending to be evil in a game" is and always was short sighted. You as a person and by your actions affect other people in this "GAME" just as much as if you stood in a coffee shop shouting the hateful lies you spurt forth in locals across eve.
It is time for you, and the game to grow up...
Act like the young men and women your parents wanted you to be and things will be fine.

You know, I don't even really care about this whole CMS situation... I just enjoy flying in space solo and in small gangs.
So I just read about these events for the first time an hour ago, and tbh it looks to me like more useless drama that Eve doesn't need right now. But oh well...

Thank you sir for correcting my spelling.. I admit freely I am a terrible speller, at that time in my life, I was more interested in finding my fathers hidden nudie mags than doing my spelling lessons. I like the other spelling as well. Nothing is wrong with my shift key, thats the way we learn to type in PRISION.
Finally, I dont think I have jumped any sharks with the lawsuit thing. In the US, the fact is if a LawDog can get a group of people that have been harmed in some way and find an a buisness to blame that has MONEY the papers will fly. I am of course HOPEFUL that this story wont hit any of the bigger news places and wont catch the attention of lawdude. Just having to fight off such a thing would take money away from CCP and would impact our game.
Thank you again for taking the time to point out my mistakes, and correcting them for me. I appreciate the effort.
