Perhaps on the test server you might, but that is a different story. Drake is a great ship buffered tanked for gate camps, it sits there shoots missiles at targets. When things get rough , it has enough buffer to survive a few guys pounding on it to degress and jump. The buffer is what helps the drake the most because, if there is something big enough to force you to degress its going to hurt, and no amount of tank will help. Most people will usually ignore drakes as primaries due to its notorious reputation for having lots of shield hit points. Its much easier to primary the guy trying to run repairers than the drake who usually has a good buffer and lacking in dps. Oh and if you guys are comparing fits, you will always find a superior fitting/ship to counter it. This is what makes Eve such a great game, everything has a counter... Counter to a HAM drake? how about a gank harbinger... yea around 700 dps dealing the right dmg type.... ---------------------------------------- Pirating is a chance based occupation not a straight numbers thing. If your precious guristas rats ctrl+q'd when you entered the system then you could talk.

They have a powerful tank to tank some of the damage the cap ship might throw at it. But that has just been misused now so that it can tank sentry guns and other players. They have no dps unless killing haulers. So they need a gang to camp or kill anything bigger than a cruiser. If there's one at a gate, just burn back and jump through. HICs can use the bubble in low sec but not at a gate or station. I warped into a fight where were killing a carrier at a plex and we had one going. On a final note, why did i see a whole load of people talking about drakes??

Other than this I agree with Gneez that passive Shield tanking on Hics are OP. I actualy can kill a BS with multiply 1600mm Plates and Trimarks faster with my Gank Mega than a Onyx, and this by using 3 MFS II, FN Antimatter, T2 Neutrons, max Skills and Implants(talking about killing a realy tanked Onyx with pure DPS solo without Sentrys). Passive Tanking doesn¦t realy help vs Focus Fire, a HP Buffer does(LSE/1600mm) so the shield recharge rate of the Hics should be increased by 30-50%, so Fittings go more to Buffer style instead of fast recharge. Armortanking, buffed Hics are not the Problem, passive Tanked Shield Hics are in Low Sec, and this is where this ship are used way to often for my taste. Note this is not a general nerf for Hics(won¦t change a thing if 10 guyes calling you primary) but changes the "Im at your gate tanking your DPS + Sentrys." thing, what is realy anoying if you are not in a gank fitted BS. ---- Nerf Tank - Boost Gank! Back up a bit...I was gonna' get my main toon to train up for a HIC. I thought you could use that WDFG in low sec but not the bubble? It's the other way around? Focused can be used anywhere, bubble only in 0.0, this guy fails at typing. And i've never seen any problem with the HICs, to be honest. If a battleship cant shrug off the damage of a HIC, thats a very poorly tanked ship. Someone else already said all my points far more eloquently than i can though, so just refer back to that post.
