Posted - 2008.09.26 14:29:00 - [32] Let's see, how long have I been paying, but not playing... 1 hour downtime for 3 years. 365 * 3 = 1095. 1095 / 24 = 45 days. 45 of paying and not being able to play. But with school and work its a fat chance. I honestly probably haven't logged more than 5 hours in game over the past two weeks. Pretty much changed skills, picked up some modules and moved them and that was about the extent of my past two weeks in eve.

Before she was born I could afford to spend an hour sitting idle in a station or at a safespot waiting for the fleet to get ready so we could get in some pew-pew, but now if I actually get a chance to log on and I don't immediately see something going on then I log out and fire up Call of Duty 2 or 4... These days I can't afford to invest 3-4-5 hours into a game and sadly, Eve requires that amount of time to get anything meaningful done. (at least in my case) I've probably not logged more than 45 minutes into the game each time I've logged on this week (3 times), sometimes I'm only on long enough to see which corpmates are online... which takes less than 5 minutes. It would be nice if there were things in eve that could be done in 10-15 minutes but I don't see that happening. I guess I'll just keep paying to train skills that I'll never use. Here I come Hello Kitty: Online....

Considering there are times where I spend 3 hours on corp ops or the like it means that there are days where I don't play Eve at all. Sometimes I wonder why I am still here. Why are we still here?

Primary motivation for most, it's like what your missing out on by not paying the sub. With eve's never ending skill set, no levels ect, it's unlike any other mmo, from ccp's point of view how could it be any better, they rake cash on people that in other games would have canned their accounts till the game improved/expanded. If I had the spare time I'd probably be playing every day. Occasionally, I will get bored of EVE and end up sitting for a month or so just training skills and playing other games. There's always another expansion around the corner to shake things up and keep the game interesting but turnaround on them has always been just a bit too slow. Playing for a long time now and seen many changes, some for the better others that bring the game to its knee's but these last couple of years from my pov see's the staff employed by CCP as the most uncaring and uninterested lot its ever been my misfortune to come across.

Zeba Minmatar Pator Tech School	Posted - 2008.09.27 18:27:00 - [51] If I only had one account I'd probably be like alot of the posters in here and would have taken longs breaks between skills as Eve doesn't have near enough content for a solo character to keep then interested for years. However CCP was wilely enough to let us use as many accounts as we wish so I always have something to do regardless of playstyle or profession. Plus dusting off the 30~40mil sp combat characters for some multi account gank action every now and then is fun or the Hulk roid vacuum squad or the trader brigade or the mission pwn fleet or the exploration gang or the etc etc etc. With multiple accounts you should never run out of fun stuff to do. inappropriate signature. ~WeatherMan

But here of late I think I have hit burn out.. have not logged in for a few days hummmm hey guys/gals theres life out there lol :) next skill complete in 20 days so maybe then thing is I am payed for a year :(
