CCP has dozens of other things it needs to fix with this game. Focusing on this would be a useless waste of time.

I aways read it. The prime fiction is one of the most interesting aspects of EVE to me.

Dear CCP - please waste lots of resources on filtering forums and heavy moderation so I don't have to read all these badly-spelt, badly-thought-out posts from alts that have sufficiently poor English it makes your eyes hurt just trying to figure out what they are trying to say.
Or, I don't know, I could just not read them...
As for the RP stuff, just because you lack the imagination to invest anything into your character beyond 'oh look it's my ship in space' doesn't mean everyone else is so dull.
Had the OP written in a pleasant way that perhaps the intermixing of in-game news vs out-of-game news is hard to follow, and perhaps we should have a separation of them (two news bars?) I would have had more time for it.
