I meant the fact that you said the auction finished at 2100 hrs yet the bid from Taylor was at 2100.
Surely his bid would have needed to be at 2059 to be legal and therefore enforce the sniper rule ?
The auction end time say 21:00 not 20:59. Sniper rule occurs before the auction ends not before 1 minute of the auction end time.

The sniper rule extends from the last bid. So if auction ends at 21:00 and sniper rule is 10 minutes, if someone bids before the auction ends then the sniper rule takes place. Let`s say that sniper rule is extended till 21:10. If someone bids at 21:09 then the sniper timer extends till 21:19.
That is the explanation of the sniper rule. I have seen auctions in the past with a 10 and 15 min sniper rules that extended for 1 and almost half hour.
Edit: since taylor04 made the bid at 21:12 the sniper rule comes in and it extends till 21:22

That is not how the sniper rule works.
Taylor needed to make the bid by 2111 in order to keep the auction alive
He did not and therefore the auction should by rights be over

I didn't make up the sniper rule in the above explanation. It`s been that way everywhere and people followed it so far.

For Taylors bid to be valid and enforse the extention of the sniper rule it had to have been made by 2111.
2112 was too late

Auction end time was 2100 hrs.
A bid came in at 2100 hrs, in truth the bid was probably too late because it should have been 2059hrs, but hey, we can live with that.
That enforced the sniper rule which meant 10 minutes extention to the auction.
Any further bids would have to be by 2110 hrs.
New bid made at 2101 therefore extending the sniper period until 2111hrs.
Next bid was made at 2112 hrs. This missed the sniper deadline and therefore was not a valid bid.
If you are going to enforce rules, at least be honerable with them. In my opinion if Taylor has paid you, you should return him 400mil and accept the 3bil price that he bid earlier because it is quite apparent that you were not going to honour your rules if I was the winner.
