'Adapt or change'. You fanboys have to stop preaching that stupid line. Adapt to what? A buggy game? The original post was complaining about BUGS. Yes sir, BUGS. It's one thing to complain about the changes being made and another being frustrated about how those changes don't work or were implemented half heartedly.
Why and how did CCP arrive at this miserable state? They got greedy that's why. This isn't a baseless accusation either, they themselves have admitted that the promotion for EnB players have caused them to upgrade their servers to accomodate for the huge influx of players. Bottom line is, they bit off more than they could chew, at the expense of the old playerbase. Shiva was pushed back, numerous extended downtimes and yes even then we had fanboys who complimented CCP for their efforts for trying to make lag an issue of the past. I know, I was one of them. Oh wait, they didn't activate the 32 nodes, no wonder it was laggy again. Yes they had 'issues' that needed fixing but that should've been done first BEFORE releasing this patch.
Moving on to the patch, the changes made were neither here nor there. A prime example would be the missile changes. Speed needs to be rectified and we're still waiting. However, the main problem still remains...its too damn buggy to be released. Listen up fanboys, yes it takes a long time to code bla bla bla but seriously, enough of that mindless droning. The programmers are HIRED to code and then hopefully screened through by the QA department. First of all, the patch should have been READY before release. I did not pay to beta test their patches or so called 'feature' updates. I paid to play the game, and if I have to report minor bugs for the devs to fix. It's better to have a well made patch and having to wait a little longer than having such a crappy one as we do now. Bottom line is, its too buggy! It's not about the change of mechanics so please try to reread this sentence before posting some comment like 'adapt or die'. Seriously, anyone who has been regurgitating this stupid line in the recent days succeeded in demonstrating one thing: they can take a whole truckload of crap before they even attempt to cover their noses.
Moving on to examine the whole basis of changes in the game mechanics. For some time now posters have been asking about Shiva and waiting and waitng and waiting. This SOON[tm] joke isn't even funny anymore imo. Changes in game mechanics does NOT equate to new content. And yes people are willing to wait for new content. I've come across a lot of posts saying 'let's wait for a properly done patch'. The operative word here is 'properly'. This patch fails to satisfy anything than to make me wanna rip off my hair, smash the computer and then trying to find the next cybercafe so i could cancel my subscriptions. I'm only in my 3rd month playing this game and for most games, that is pretty much still the honeymoon period and no, please don't come tell me 'but Aegon this is so much better than beta you noob, omg kthxbye'. I did not pay for beta, I paid for a game that runs more or less smoothly. And no, CCP is not fast when it comes to hotfixes. There were text pasting bugs that were in game since forever, graphical bugs, gang bug and a ton more. Took them THIS long to try to do something about it and then fail miserably. Voice your unhappiness and stop being a mindless fanboy. Maybe something will change. I still love this game and it could be so much more if it weren't for the constant screwups. Flame all you want, but this is how i feel and i speak for a lot of people out there playing this game. No for the last time don't drone to me about adaptation. Some people can take so much crap its unbelievable.
