Sponsored by EVE-AU.com, its the first annual BBQ n ****'er event. EVE-Online players from all across Australia and New Zealand will gather on this glorious day in January/February (Date to be decided) to drink beer, eat steaks, hit the waves and rock out with their ****s out (provided ladies are present).
It will be the single greatest achievement in EVE-Online History within Australia and EVE-AU is shouting $2000 worth of drinks and food for the event.
- It will be held in Queensland, Australia.
- It will be held in January or February - Please use the poll on the site to choose a date and we will announce in November the set date.

Can I suggest you make it after school holidays finish so that those of us who might travel from interstate can not be boned by peak season airfares and accomodation. If I can wrangle time off, and the cost, then I'll be there.
<edit> if it's more than one day (and we can make it), I'll try organising Eve-CCG, which our Sydney based group has had a great time playing.

Sweet as.. CCP Linghorm was saying February is the best time.. Just as people are getting back to work etc.
The event will be from Friday until Sunday.. People would only need to get the Friday off from their jobs if they needed.
Yeh man, try and get CCG there :) The more the better.

Also a thought we had
As most people live in Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth.. Set Canberra as the location to meet and then we hire a Coaster Mini Bus (22 seater) to drive upto Queensland the day before the event. Which means those who take this option need to give 5 days instead of 3.
Anyone that wants to make their own way up feel free.. The bus can divert past Sydney enroute also :)

Ok the date has been set for February 27th-1st March
We are going to the Gold Coast.
The actual venue is still pending.. Hopefully i can smooth some local business over to sponsor the event provided we spend a **** load of money at their bar/pub.. :)
My charisma will get us a venue :)
