I just heard that Goodfellas Leadership is trying to kick all inactive corp members from corps outside of their own to boost fleet participation. GF Leadership wants screenshots of their corp chat channels and demand action. I also heard if you go afk you have to logoff so they can count how many are in alliance and how many are in fleet to yell some more.
Personally, I have no idea why my alliance has them blue as I think we have seen them involved with our fleet ops maybe twice? Sounds like a good time to set them back to neutral.
As horrible as my posts are, I am willing to save you Goodfellas from the embarrasment of failure. For 1 bil isk each of your "leaders" can take a leadership class from me. This teaches you teamwork, leadership abilities, schedule planning, and other things that you are apparently lacking.
If you don't want my help, kick your members, and prove to all of EVE how awesome your leadership abilites are and your 10 man fleets since everyone got kicked / no one wants to fly with you.
OR
You can smarten up before we do turn you back to neutral as a fail alliance has no business being blue. Enjoy your Gegrillte Schweinehaxe and good beer!

Goodfella's are probably just getting rid of some dead weight after they had a mass recruitment, especially with providing shelter for the Un-nat pilots who just got ***** slapped by Pathetic Legion. |

It's better to have an alliance with 300 ppl and 150 on all time then to have an alliance with 3000 and have 150 on.

If people don't show up on your ops without having to be forced to be there -- you've got some fundemental problems to solve.
In the past I've always found heavy handed measures such as described here were to ultimately boost the short term goals of few select indivituals within the allaince for their own gain.
Not saying that's the case with goodfellas, but time will tell if they're another milk farm or a new stable entity in the territorial landscape. |

tbfh, I'd fly to the end and back for twink.
But the stuff I heard from lastnight, leaves me thinking. Why would I want to deal with some tosspot with a stick in his bum because he doesn't have the toys he wants to?
"OMG your a failure" Twink would say, but when he says it makes failure seem like a question with his high pitched voice at the end of all his sentences.
These guys seem like "omfg im banning ur accounts and kicking you out of alliance cause you banged your wife instead of orbiting my e-peen"
Being a alliance drone and being on every op is one thing. But when you are told to be there or be kicked on the one night after 16 weeks of invading you want to take off, well seems like a morale kicker to me, and we all know how COAD and morale go hand in hand with alliance failures.
Plain and simple, you should learn to be a leader before you try and play president (dictator in GF's position)and realize that it is still a game that gives people a choice. That's the bottom line.
I don't personally care what they do, but I'd rather seem them neutral so I can shoot the tossers who do have attitude issues. |

Which were you thinking of? Alliances in death spasms aren't a good baseline to compare standard house keeping against, if that was what you had in mind.

i agree with this somewhat but at the same time in a hardcore pvp alliance you cant take your hands off the reigns and say when your invading well guys whatever do what u like go be fuzzy. If u get too much of this people doing whatever the f they want you lose your ability as an alliance. Theres a happy medium at encouraging people to do ops and letting them do what they like, just a matter of goodfellas leadership finding it. I understand theyve been hitting lots of poses lately, everyone hate pos warfare big suprise. Every alliance goes through what ur saying not worthy of a caod post. |

Sounds like a good move. Long time ago on a different character, I was in a corp that I won't name here but quite simply, it didn't tolerate slackers - 100% tax during every op/campaign and people who didn't pull their weight (spent more time idling than participating) were kicked. It's one of the efficient and best PVP corps I've ever been involved with.
Pilots that spent more time idling and less time on ops are no use to anyone. |

This 'removal of inactive players' is a common occurrence and good practice.
Dead weight is just that, dead and needs to be removed. It's not only to clean the corps of inflated numbers (for those who are required to keep a certain membership level) but it's also a security risk to keep hundreds, if not thousands, of inactive pilots in your membership.
