Even if there wasn't extended downtime, both my main's and my alt's skills finish hours before I get home from work.
It is more useful to me to have these skills a level higher this evening than to have some random skill brought up for the sake of total SPs.

I'm not as daring as you are, plus my morning routines goes as follows;
* Wake up, take two steps from bed, pull in power cords (you never know when there's a thunderstorm mmkay), and start up the pc.
* Walk to the bathroom, pick up the morning paper on the way.
* Make some breakfast, walk to the PC. Check evemon and doublecheck it with your cellphone alarms.
* Finish reading morning paper while having breakfast.
* Start coffee, load up EVE.
..by this time you should have one or more characters finishing skills. Set them for either shorter (to do something before d/t), or longer (finish after d/t, before bedtime).
At this point there's alot of different things that can happen, either play EVE for a bit, do other games, etc. D/t is usually a good mark for workout + shower + lunch. EVEnings (*cough*) is never scheduled, if RL calls, RL calls.
Nothing changes here then, some skills finishing by breakfast time tomorrow, no daring skills for tonight. You never know, I might be out on a date, or picking my nose while playing xbox.

Only about 11 hours to go here, also on Controlled Bursts 4. One of the alts is gonna run out during the downtime, some random industry skill that I'm sure I need at some point. Last training alt is pretty safe, 6 days on advanced spaceship command 5. |

Just a few points of interest about this thread. With this post this thread will be three posts away from breaking the record for most posts ever made in a Dirk Magnum thread. It will exceed the previous record (44), found in the "as long as we're changing the covert ops hulls..." thread, wherein I posited that field command ships should utilize the tier 2 battlecruiser hulls.
To restate, this thread requires 45 total posts to set the new record. Another point of interest is that this is also the 45th thread started by me.

Motion Prediction V has a few more days to run, but my new second account finishes training Cruiser III tomorrow morning ... that was the longest useful skill I could find!  |

Meh, Advanced Weapons Upgrades IV, ends 1 hour after extended downtime. If I miss a few hours either way, who cares. Besides, this is a small patch, I expect the extra time is them taking the chance for a full DB backup.

If you want to live really dangerous life, you could skip making backup of your settings directory before applying the patch.

i forgot to train something full stop xD
According to evemon i had 8 mins before downtime to train something, which was fine but i was watching a film and forgot about it 
So plz plz plz CCP get the downtime over ON TIME ! Please! :P

Its a great feeling coming out of a long DT to find THAT skill seconds away from completion...but personally i take no risks, i always train that really long one that ive been putting off, why, coz im an addict...i want wat i want and i want it now.... trying to wait 60 days for gratification is impossible. So for very long skills, its vacations and long dt's, i get there in the end. Im training u7hgfo9tx Lev 5 this time.

I never back them up, all you have to do is NOT click the "Launch EVE-Online" at the end of the patch, close it on the X instead.
