Originally by: ErrorS i dont play like that though. I move from belt to belt in each system. When i've been to every belt I move on to another system. I do this to try and explore the different systems in the game.. it's very time consuming to warp in at 60km, set a bookmark, warp back to where i originally came from and warp back to where the enemies are. This game already requires alot of patience, needing to do something like this is going over the line.
If they added a "Warp to 100k" it would make things easier. Except theres the issue of picking up loot... If I kill a ship at 60km it takes me FOREVER to get to the loot can. I can't imagine how bored I would get fighting PvE if I was killing them at 100km+.
and what about missions? am I suppose to warp in at 60km, set a bookmark, warp away, warp back, kill the enemies then fly 100k to pick up the required loot? Then when I'm done delete the bookmark.. yea right.. That's a workaround for a stupid problem. You should not have to work around poorly designed game mechanics. Doing all of this might not be a problem for those of you who have the free time to spare, but I don't have the 15mins to spare for each mission just to get into position before I can kill a couple of stupid cruisers. Then to spend another 10mins flying to the loot cans to pick up a stupid damsel so I can finish the mission.
and am I the only one who use to use asteroids to hide from enemy fire when hunting NPCs? i thought that was awesome.. duck behind an asteroid that blocks enemy missles as I fire away with my guns.
I can see not everyone agrees with me that PvE is broken right now. That probably meens CCP thinks those of us who do have a problem with it are nothing but whiners who don't know how to adapt.
I would liek to ask if anyone could give me a sensical reason for why I can't hit a Moa, a ship thats nearly as big as mine that hardly moves any faster when I have no problem hitting a ship identical to mine. Pretending Eve is real and has it's own backround for every small bit of game mechanics. Tell me WHY I cannot hit a slow moving ship not much bigger then my own.
Use the right tools for the job then. 425's are now sniper weapons, alternatively 350's give the same dot & better tracking at at a close range, dual 250's also give reasonable dot at good tracking and blasters let you get right up close and personal.
With a web blasters can hit cruisers nearly 100% of the time, and frigates are drone fodder, spawning solo is currently very easy unless you mean a *really* big spawn.
