"Omg I love the smell of bacon, but its dead PIG!" Vegetarian proceeds to put on a leather jacket and walk out of the room.

Even if you're say a pacifist you live in a capitalist economy fueled and controlled by armed conflict and on top of that you kill living beings every day without intent. Not all vegetarians are so because they are protesting animal cruelty or somesuch. Some simply don't like the taste or texture of meat or cannot eat it because of religious values or dietary restrictions. There's nothing hypocritical in that case about one wearing leather, though I'll admit if they were very 'anti-animal' anything it would be. I just want to point out that it's not always as black and white as you seem to paint it. -------------

I think my grandfather got it as a present from his boss for whatever back then. Never I would buy such a thing, but ffs, this thing was made long before I was born, I don't see ANYTHING wrong with wearing it.
Suze'Rain Caldari	Posted - 2008.10.02 09:32:00 - [10] my partner's been a vegetarian for 30 years. she chose to do so because cheap meat in the 70's was considerably nastier stuff, and she lived in a house which was particularly poor, and good quality pork/steak/bacon/etc was out of the budget. mind you, she has also been the only person willing to sit through a reenactor demonstrating how a pig would be dismembered for cooking (including all the wonderful snapping of joints and dislocating sockets....

Not only this i get almost resentment from it. Always the same replies like "aww man i could never give up meat", "are you homo?", "damn man thats stupid, meats too tasty". I rarely give a damn tbh and don't go into detail why i choose this diet, but im personally not disgusted by meat. My personal reason for doing so is i wouldn't kill a cow or a pig after watching them being slaughtered so i feel a little guilty if not hypocritical eating the animal when someone else killed it & kept me in my bubble of ignorance to how it came to be in tesco. This is not to say i discourage others from doing so, this is a personal choice. Not only this, but ive lost weight and eat damned well now that i have.

They, too, require that animals be killed in order to provide them. Probably because "Carnivores" (A species that ONLY eats meat) are thinking you're being difficult for the sake of it, when in reality, you just dont have the gastric stability for meat. Alas, theres no need to label people a carnivore as its inaccurate. Thats like calling you a Herbivore. Just makes you sound like a dumpy stegosaurus. I mean, with all respect, if you wish to be a dumpy stegosaurus then feel free. And overall, I don't mind vegetarians if you can't help it... I don't even care what you're not eating meat for. The part i'm talking about is that if you're going to whine in my face that meat is murder, don't wear animal hide!

WHAT THE **? I mean, it doesnt matter WHAT you ordered, you just got the wrong thing, and it's their fault... should have answered something like "Well, it's not like you can't actually keep track of orders, now can you?" Too bad it's a bad idea **ing off people that bring you food. Best thing to do would probably be... leave, without eating or paying and never come back. Unless you want to eat some spit.

The rest are for chewing it and the plant-based food. We're omnivores, and i don't really see why vegetarians can't see that. I mean, don't they have a problem with killing plants? They're living things aswell... Not to mention the stuff used to grow them in the first place. edit: Not to mention that our digestive tract is simply too short to survive on just plant-based food. Various sources say that strictly vegetarian diets lack many of proteins, fibre, iron and some minerals found in meats, or have much smaller quantities/qualities. While I'll grant that missing out on the nasty fats and/or any 'chemicals' from processing/animals diet is a good thing, getting quality food offers the same assurance to veggies and meat eaters alike (fertilisers, pesticides, etc).
