You clearly are not a drone user: i warp out and my drones follow me, what's overpowered in that? And i talked about missions: loosing drones this way when you are doing missions is the most annoying thing in the world, you waste money and time to replace them. Sure you can warp back to them, but often you don't have the time to do that, becouse the client don't want to connect anymore or becouse they will be death already, think about those missions with multiple stages where you MUST navigate through multiple acceleration gates with only the AFTERBURNER for 70kilometers and more!
So, why would it be overpowered?!
because you no longer have to wait while under fire for your drones. you can just pull the plug and know that your drones will follow you. ------------------------------------

BTW there are 2 aggro timers in eve: 1 activate when you go pve and 1 when you go pvp, so they could simply use those things: when a pve timer is on your drones will follow when you crash, else they will stay where they are. And whey you warp out BTW, you will stay in space, then anyone can scan you down and having drones out will make it even more simple, so what's wrong with this idea??
You obviously have never been so beaten that you can't wait for your drones to return to seek repairs. As the system currently stands, you have to wait for them to return or face destruction or warp out and leave them to fend for themselves. With your idea, you could just unplug your connection and not have to wait for your drones to come back therefore saving you millions in what would have been destroyed drones. You say, who cares? I bet that drone manufacturer would that just lost 5m because you now don't have to purchase new ones. ------------------------------------

Originally by: Krystal Demishy You are sick man. I really loose them only when my client crash and that is really frustrating. That is the main reason why people loose drones (not talking about pvp, but there is fair) and not 'couse they are incompetent and cannot handle a mission, but becouse crashes happen; you are the only evil person here that thought about "unplugging" the cable... is that your kind of gameplay? Sadness...
I agree that crashes happen. I was giving an example of how over-powerful this idea could be. There are people out there that will pull their plug to save 5m. I'm not one of them but they do exist and have to be planned for. Try to label me as evil all you want because I don't agree with your idea, the least you could do is refine it a bit to ease some of the vet's concerns if this were implemented. ------------------------------------

Your post is useless, thank you.
How is his post useless? As a manufacturer of T2 drones, your idea will put a serious dent in his operations. Unless of course you don't want to address how you will keep the T2 drone manufacturers happy. Any reduction in drone losses will affect those with BPO's, BPC's or invention BPO's. Then if they are making less then the players supplying them with minerals will be making less...it will affect quit a bit of the market that you aren't taking into account. ------------------------------------
