Josh, do you even realize what you are asking for? The most destructive weapon in the game, the only one that has such an area of effect, and you WANT IT TO BE SAFE IN EMPIRE SPACE??!!!
Jeez...

No splash will attract concord if you happen to hit a neutral with it.
Also careful with the missiles, lost a tempest not long ago when I was fighting a scorp, some neutral came in path my cruise missiles and took a direct hit even tho he wasn't locked or anything.
Anyways concord and sentry ownd me big time. -- "Yarrr..." [FRIG] promotional video|Training film #1|Training film #2| |Newsreels: #1,#2,#3(NEW).| |

Good job I haven't tested it then. I thought that splash damage had been temporarily taken out to fix these can beastings.
That was the impression I got anyway. Not testing it though as we'd now have to use a Raven to check :)

Can a Cruiser Launcher I fire torpedoes? If so, for testing you could just about get one onto a Moa :)

afaik yes, torps are safe to use in the empire. When the news said they changed missiles to not damage anything but what it is aimed for, this included torps, which entails splash.

I'd like an official statement from TomB, I'm not gonna risk a Battleship due to trying that.

kinda silly to have splash damage when it won't hurt anything but the desired target?

Wonder if you can blow up cargo containers by hitting someone near the can thats targeted (aka in your corp) and not get in any trouble. Hmmmm Fear The Bunny

I meant are the safe from splash-damage-concordoken-gankage
I'm just curious as to whether the splash dmg is there or not - the show info on a torp shows an explosive radius of 500m still.
