Operation: System Cleaning =======================
Mission briefing: ----------------------- I just recieved some breaking news, the CEO of Duvolle Laboratories has announced a surprise visit to this station, to take place later today. Our cleaning staff has been scrambling to make sure this place looks spotless and shiny, but we need you for something "slightly" more risky. You see our surveillance teams have spotted a heapload of enemy craft snooping around in this system, and we suspect they somehow managed to find out about this surprise visit and are planning to sabotage the event. We've managed to take most of them out, but there are 6 groups of them left which I'd like you to take care of. I will give you a series of bookmarks which should lead you to these locations in no time. Please head out there asap and eliminate all of the targets, this will hopefully insure that everything goes as planned later today.
Standings ----------------------- This is an important mission, which will have significant impact on your faction standings.
Objectives ----------------------- To complete the mission, the following must be performed by you: one Serpentis Chief Sentinel, one Serpentis Chief Defender and four Serpentis Defenders must be destroyed in ______ two Serpentis Chief Sentinels and one Serpentis Chief Protector must be destroyed in ______ five Serpentis Protectors and one Serpentis Chief Defender must be destroyed in ______ one Guardian Captain and one Serpentis Chief Sentinel must be destroyed in ______ one Serpentis Chief Defender and one Serpentis Drug Baron must be destroyed in ______ two Serpentis Defenders, one Serpentis Soldier and one Serpentis Chief Defender must be destroyed in ______.
Rewards ----------------------- Upon completing the mission, the following will be awarded to you: 68000 credits
Bonus Rewards ----------------------- The following bonuses may be awarded to you: three units of ECM - Spatial Destabilizer I at _______ will be yours if you complete the mission in 1 hour and 30 minutes
Are you guys sure this is correct coming from a effective quality 39, level three agent?
The Sloth.
N.B. This post was edited to remove the system name (______).

I never noticed any better rewards or bonuses from important missions except for implants. But at least those missions weren't any more involved than normal ones. Well, at least you have bounties and loot from this one...
It would be great if CCP updated the NPC value tables for modules. Most module rewards are a bad joke; they have little or no utility, no NPC demand, and a tiny recycle value since the agent only gives a few at most. At least most commodity rewards have a market somewhere.

Few items? I can't say getting 38 rocket launchers or 25 125mm railgun 1s is any more rewarding.
If it ain't ammo or charges, it shouldn't be handed out more than max 5 items of each. Increase the value instead.

Yes and the funny thing about this mission is that you have 48 hours to complete this mission but the CEO visits later today

I will second something about this post. Difficulty/Rewards should be directly proportional to agent standing/quality, not the opposite.

Unfortunately, module rewards are unlikely to be changed as their value is calculated from the base NPC price for the module, not the current market or recycle mineral value.

Edited by: The Sloth on 22/06/2004 14:28:16 Edited by: The Sloth on 22/06/2004 14:27:53 Just informing you all of the mods i got - 2x Tech II Small Energy Neautralizer, 3 useless named modules, and a cargo bay full of other generic assorted crud. Total bounties equated to 788,000 ISK and also lets not forget the 68,000 ISK reward and the three ECM Spatial Destabilizer I's as the bonus.
To be honest this mission was in fact refreshing, however the difficulty, or rather the amount of time involved, should be better reflected in the mission's reward.
If there was one mission that deserved an implant from your corporation as a reward, it should be this one where you have 'saved' the CEO.

I did this saturday and I got four units of spacial destabilizer. They like me better than you.
I agree that this is probably a mission that should have an implant reward. You are doing 6 missions worth of kills and saving the president from an ambush, they could be a bit more appreciative.
It was a bit of a change of pace though.

I think the point in lower mission rewards in Empire space is to force somepeople out into non-empire space IMHO. Would be nice though if there was something out there to make fighting thru hordes of PC Pirates worth the effort....
Oh well don't mind me I'm just rambling (Turns back on the PS2, checking every 15 min to target a new asteroid with 1 Miner 2 on the Indy) Maybe when the game becomes "challenging" I can stop Indy mining Veld & Scor and go back to Ninja mining Ark again. 2005.01.21 05:09:06combatYour Tachyon Beam Laser I perfectly strikes Blood Priest, wrecking for 533.1 damage. |

I had this mission twice in a row, once it was important "system cleaning" the second time it was the "pirate invasion" one... both times the rewards sucked.
another point to not is if I right-clicked and warped to the bookmarks i had to hunt around betwen them a huge amount to get the mission done (spawns swapped etc).. apparently they get reshuffled??
The 2nd time I did the mission by using ppl & places which worked fine. Was quite challening doing this one with a crusier as the one rat was worth 100k.

Yea I had that mission twice in a row... with no decent rewards..
First time the main rats were 100k then the mission immediately after that was like 55k rats, couldve at least get something interesting..

The faction standing bonus makes this a mini IM mission, but with corp faction. 8] get about 5 times the regular faction for it.

if u make 800k in bounty + the loot aswell why are u complaining about the reward? when i get this mission im well chuffed, the reward means feck all to me, its the bounty and loot im interested in. How many belts/systems would u have to trawl to get this many mid lvl rats? plus ur being told where they are.
personally i would pay 100-200k to be told where i can find 800k's worth of rats, let alone actually making money by doing it
just my 0.02$ anyway, not meant as a flame in anyway at all :)

Valid point however with pretty much the same time involved I could do 5-6 kill missions for my agent and get alot more isk for my time (bounties, rewards and mods included).
But anyway as I said above it was a refreshing change never the less.

I've had these multiple bookmark missions a few times now, sometimes giving crap rewards/bonuses and othertimes giving 100K reward and 100K bonus.
Whatever way though, the missions are worth a lot of ISK in bounties, no matter what the reward, I generally make between 800,000 and 1,000,000 for about 45 minutes work.
Which is nice

This mission takes me around half an hour and as it is all in the same system from a time / isk point of view i find this mission far more rewarding then separate missions.(plus there's the occasional good drop from the high end cruisers)

I want your agent!
I just started a new good lvl 3 agent.. that gives me 200k per hour... and should end up giving me something like 600k on average later on... this is half the pay a normal miner gets... Anything that gives you less than a miner isn't worth it, that is my point of view!
The reward value should get multiplied by 2... and all basic items removed!

I got a total of 2 Pirate Invasion and 1 System cleaning from one agent and the mission reward was pathetic. 68K, 62K and 66K reward.
The bounties from killing all those rats was very nice. It totalled 1.6Mil for the 3 missions all up. :)
The loot was okay but surely the mission reward could have been better?
