I really don't know why it hasn't been done since beta, but it would be REALLY useful to have an "Unfit All Modules" button on the Fitting interface. Trying up different configs on a battleship can be really time consuming just cause you have to do all the drag and dropping to REMOVE the modules before you try new ones...
Any plans on that feature? I'm sure it's something very easy that could be done as a part of a quick patch.

Oh, nice one mate. Repackaging isn't an option, either, since you lose your insurance if you do. Make it so CCP (not necessarily a button...rather an option on the right-click menu)

it gets my vote, having to refit ships with draging every module on and off is very frustrating

for any assembled ship, Unfit All should be an option in the context menu for that ship in your ships tab.
That way, you can get the bloody modules off a ship which isn't currently active. I get so riled when trying to switch ships, only to find that I left a favorite module on the one that's now inactive, and EVE won't let me switch back immediately so I can expedite the process! "you haven't finished buckling your seatbelt!".

It's got my vote too. And while they're at it, they can make a default config option for your ship as well so you can easily change :)

Good idea - but perhaps there should be 3 different options, to allow you to unfit the hi/med/low slots seperately? Would help when you want to try different weapon setups, are swapping speed mods for cargo mods when hauling in your indy, etc.
It should also help reduce database traffic a bit, since there will be just the one operation to perform instead of several

lazy? ..... so what people that drives cars are lazy to, they should rather walk eh? why invent cars, why invent airplanes, yes they make life easier, everything that makes stuff less frustrating to some extent is worth doing, and this wont hurt anyone either... no on is making money of people making a long time to outfit their ships in eve, so instead of just saying "you people are lazy" in a topic, get a grip

that's actually a great idea. i like the idea for four buttons, one for each level of slots and one for all slots. would be nice.

How about a right click on a can in your hanger to 'Fit all to active ship'
Now that would be cool if the unfit all was there.

Personally, I want my modules in specific locations, not just in some random high/mid/low slot. If the modules aren't where I expect them to be, it'll be a lot more complicated to use the keyboard to activate/deactivate the modules.
It would be useful for short testing though...

this would be VERY useful. Constantly switching between bs mining, and bs combat takes a while

What about expanding this into configurations that you can save? I.E. you have a combat configuration and a mining configuration, or a travel configuration with boosted capacitor recharge etc for afterburners or micro-warp. You can save the configuration out, so as long as you have the items in your hanger, it refits the ship to the saved configuration and activates the components you want. Basically, you'd have a record of each configuration you want on the ship and that could even include removing everything from the ship. All you would do is right-click the configuration and click something like "Activate" and boom, it refits your ship to the configuration you selected. -- Farlin |

while they are at it, they could consider "loadout" sets.
For example, you fit your Thorax with a specific NPC hunting setup in the Amarr station. On the bottom of the fitting screen are three buttons labeled 1, 2 and 3. When you click #2, a clear loadout appears, where you can put a PvP loadout. The NPC hunting modules are stored in a meta-hangar which you only have access to through the loadout screen. The unfit all button would unfit all the loadouts, but there would be "unfit loadout 1-3" commands.
