Hello
I am just curious for your reasons to have a second eve account ?
My reason is, since my first account is based on a fighter, pvp and missions I decided to make the 2nd one with purposes for low space mining while my other account provides Recon or Battle support. An addition to make isk instead of just mission running.
Curious to read about your reasons

Because my main was so busy training PVP stuff I never got around to training any useful mission ships.

I used to have two pc's next to each other - I had one guy set up with great resists and a shield booster but mainly set for damage, the second account was setup for remote shield boosting and loot collection/ salvaging.

Because there are just some things in EvE that require more than one player and its far easyer to pay for an additional account in hard currency or GTC to have another account on at the same time instead of relying on a second player.

Because I didn't want to train another race's Cruiser 5, BS 5, and T2 Weapons on my main. 
This is a slippery slope, though. With enough time you find yourself buying three copies of Carrier skillbooks because you have nothing else to train.

Main to do awesome PVP(3 races crosstrained so far)
1. Alt to all the capital/Gallente shit
2. Alt as support/miner/production and all the other carebear shit(Although she actually flies a mean Nano-Isthar) :P

Planning on doing some freighter work and trading to make isk since my main is under constant siege from war decs

I don't. I think CCP is moving into the wrong direction with this. They keep on 'forcing' people into 2 accounts. Mining is a good example. Can flipping is a big problem for people with one account, but it isn't for people with 2 or more accounts. Instead of giving players some sort of option against can flipping, they advertise to get 2 accounts!

Or would you cyno into the dark with your titan not knowing how it looks on the other side ?

I have several accounts. Mainly because i want to experience a lot of the different paths in eve without having to "jack of all trades" my main. I have 1 for combat (primary isk earner/main), 1 miner, 1 combat/hauler future rorq pilot, 1 research, 1 manufacturer, 1 more for fun to skill up amarr caps and such.
I can afford the accounts so went to town. I don't like to miss out on part of the experience and love being really good at tasks

Main: Evil pirate, nothing but combat skills.
Alt: Brings me shinies to suicide into logoon traps. Mines my wealth back to replace aforementioned shinies. Also to mock corpmates who are aghast that they can't shoot the slow, fat Bustard full of t2 ships and mods.
Probably the same as around 30% of people with two accounts, with 20% using them to tag-team missions and 50% as Falcon alts :p

Second: Aquired during first power of 2 offer - char is being transfered to main account though when Gtc runs out (Not worth having 2 accounts with these high Gtc-Prices...)

my afk miner saw very little improvement with t2 miners. i wouldn't bother
what you do want is bumping that cargo hold up to 12km^3 so that you can get a fourth ice cycle out of it

I don't have a second account, because (unlike other games) EVE can be played with one account with only minor inconveniences.
I do use alts though ... call it metagaming if you like, I call it a necessary workaround for missing features in the game (such as friends who willingly haul my stuff around in empire ... ok, I mean other features, but u get the point)

Secondary - industrial toon with Covops and (soon) Hictor skills, cyno*****

other account helps in missions with dps and transfers shields, is a pvp scout, and is a cap pilot.

Scan them out, then drop a BS on their head.
Great for times when you find yourself with no one else to talk to in the corp and want some mischief! It also means you can talk to yourself, without actually talking to yourself and therefore giving an illusion of sanity

I don't have one, but I had...it they would be: Fighter/exploration + Trader/manufacturing
but... I have those both on my main now (and hasn't been too much trouble) so if I really would get a alt...i would make him a evil pirate that has a goal of -10 security. Why? Because that's a refreshing change! Basically, a difference in security status would be the key.
At the moment...just one account thank you.

I started up a second account after I went to -10 sec status on my main as a pirate. I needed a steady way to make money, so I started up a Caldari alt and shot for a raven to start ratting in providence and doing missions. Except now my Caldari alt is also in my corp, also pirating. Funny how things work out, eh?
