I'm trying to make a fit specifically to kill solo vagabonds, but so far my fits don't seem to work. I'm not sure if I should have a tanking, ganking or nano setup.
Consider all skills at V and rigs but no implants.
Thanks ... and the funniest thing is the fact that you're wasting time reading my signature. |

truth is that a vaga pilot worth his salt will not get within web range and is more than likely to be able to get away. your best hope is an overheated faction webber and a dose of luck.
Vagas don't have a lot of dps, neither can they tank very well, but they sure can dictate the engagement rules and more than often can GTFO when things do not fare well for them.

any zealot with pulses and scorch that is... that'll keep the vaga OUTSIDE of a 30km or so bubble around said zealot... ---------------------------------------------
I may be a bit over Zealot, but i cant help myself, its the best investment i ever made! |

Agreed, the sac however, frequently gets pew pewed by vaga who think they can slowly eat me while avoiding my missiles. Ah, overloaded faction webs ***The EVE servers and their patches*** |

Another problem I have is keeping the vaga from warping... Would swapping the (faction) web for a warp distruptor be viable or should I stick to a web?
Thanks for the answers so far. ... and the funniest thing is the fact that you're wasting time reading my signature. |

I have been thinking about the same, it's so horrible that it took so many posts to realize this.

Hehe, I was hoping someone would say something about it. It's a bit of a catch-22 situation: without the web I can't catch him, without the scram I can't prevent him from warping, with both I have to choose from a MWD or cap booster. ... and the funniest thing is the fact that you're wasting time reading my signature. |

Zealots can probably only kill Vagabonds in one scenario. You have dual webs and a point. He jumps through the gate and you somehow lock him before he gets out of range and nail him with both webbers and the point. You win. Otherwise, it is going to be a big waste of time. 1 webber is not sufficient for keeping a vagabond in one place, it will have enough time to jet off still, especially with a dual T2LSE fit. I would not waste any more time on this tbh.
Good Luck!

um a zealot can be quite fast too. chuck in a few polycarb rigs, 2x OD with a domination web and that vaga pilot's inertia isn't gonna get him far fast enough.

any properly fitted zealot with Pulse+Scorch has a chance of blowing a nanoVaga out of the water easily.
else is up to specific fits on both ships, and situations (which is often the Vaga's trump card)
Fit a scram and use scorch. Tracking script in a TC also helps. IT helped me taking down a nanoishtar and a vaga in a Pulsepoc. -
