Been playing for awhile and doing a lot of combat this past year and was recently considering my skill hardwirings. Since I just got podded today for the first time in months, it got me reconsidering which implants I use.
So I put it to the forum here, what combat skill implants would you recommend to a primarily turret-based pilot flying mostly Amarr hulls? I don't like spending hundreds of millions of ISK on implants - it's enough that since joining faction warfare I don't bother to maintain a combat clone, remaining with my +4 implants at all times.
I generally buy the mid-grade implants and have shunned snake/slave sets due to their high cost. Here's what I usually pick from:
slot 6 -- Hardwiring - Inherent Implants 'Noble' ZET100 3% reduction repper duration Hardwiring - Inherent Implants 'Lancer' G2-Alpha 5% bonus to small energy turret damage
slot 7 -- Hardwiring - Eifyr and Co 'Gunslinger' AX-1 3% turret tracking speed Hardwiring - Inherent Implants 'Lancer' G1-Beta 3% reduction turret cap need Hardwiring - Zainou 'Deadeye' ZMC100 3% bonus to all missile's maximum flight range Hardwiring - Zainou 'Gypsy' KNB-50 3% bonus to Scan Resolution Hardwiring - Eifyr and Co. 'Rogue' CY-1 3% bonus to Ship Velocity
slot 8 -- Hardwiring - Inherent Implants 'Lancer' G2-Gamma 5% damage medium energy turrets
slot 9 -- Hardwiring - Eifyr and Co 'Gunslinger' CX-1 3% bonus to all turret damage Hardwiring - Eifyr and Co. 'Rogue' GY-1 3% reduction MWD capacitor needs Hardwiring - Inherent Implants 'Lancer' G1-Delta 3% bonus to all turret rate of fire Hardwiring - Inherent Implants 'Noble' ZET400 3% bonus to repair system amount
slot 10 - Hardwiring - Inherent Implants 'Lancer' G1-Epsilon 3% lrg energy turret dmg Inherent Implants 'Noble' ZET500 +3% Armor HP Hardwiring - Zainou 'Gnome' KZA1000 -3% CPU turrets Hardwiring - Eifyr and Co. 'Rogue' MY-1 - 3% Bonus to afterburner and MWD speed
Since most of these are of the 3% bonus variety, are there some which simply don't confer enough bonus to be worthwhile? Am I wrong to shun spending the big bucks on a slave/snake set? -- Gramor Panne --

Slot 1: Slave Alpha Slot 2: Slave Beta Slot 3: Slave Gamma Slot 4: Slave Delta Slot 5: Slave Epsilon Slot 6: Slave Omega Slot 7: Ogdin's Eye Coordination Enhancer (6% Tracking to All Turrets) Slot 8: Hardwiring - Inherent Implants 'Lancer' G2-Gamma (5% Damage Medium Energy) Slot 9: Pashan's Turret Customization Mindlink (7% Rate of Fire All Turrets) Slot 10: Pashan's Turret Handling Mindlink (7% Large Energy Turret Damage)
Costs just over 4 bil but SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it.

Unfortunately, I am not an empire-based mission runner and such an expense for implants would be far outside my desire to remain reasonable in implant costs so that my clone will always be comfortable in low sec combat. -- Gramor Panne --
