www.BIG-EVE.com/BMBE
BMBE is EVE's premier bank, established 2006.02, specializing in large ISK loans
Need ISK, and don't want to pay interest out your nose to get it?
The BMBE is now offering the following very low interest rates
Interest Loan size 1.0% 50B ISK and above 1.5% 15B - 49B ISK 2.0% 1B - 14B ISK
Interest is weekly
Even at 2%, the above rates are EVE wide the lowest available!
A 50B ISK loan will only cost you 500M a week!
The only requirement to take out a loan, as that you provide collateral equal to the amount of the loan.
T2 prints are very popular to use as collateral, but we will take anything we can re-sell in case of a defaulted loan. BPO's (T2 or not) used as collateral, we offer to keep in production for you for the duration of the loan.
Contact either of the following for more information

Well, keep in mind that it's also possible to use whatver it is that you are buying as collateral (if it's practical for you not having access to it for the duration of the loan).
Mostly usefull with regards to buying BPO's, which BMBE will keep in prod/research for you if you wish.
In fact, you could take out a loan (say 20B ISK) to buy all cap mod BPO's and a cap BPO or two.
And you would instantly be in the cap production business, without having to front a single ISK yourself...
In fact, someone did excactly this just the other week...
Worth thinking about eh

A simple question, probably stupid butmy logic fails.
You say to loan isk, a person needs to give a colatteral equal to 100%of the loaned isk.
However, if you have the items, why not just sell them and get the isk in for the item?

Not a stupid question - And one that has been asked many times.
The reason is, that it might be something you don't *want* to sell - As it might be hard to get hold of again - Like a T2 BPO.
With BMBE, you'll be able to use the value of of the (say) T2 BPO to raise funds to, perhaps buy even more T2 BPO's (or whatever the case might be)
Basically a matter of utilizing the value of whatever items you have gathered "just in case you might need it one day" - Without having to go through the trouble of selling (and getting a fair prize) and then re-acquiring them.

First of all I commend you and your partners (assuming you have some)for a very interesting and needed service. I read through this thread and I have a question concerning your Capital Production Example.
I request a loan from you, I then purchase let's say a Thanny BPO and the capital construction bpo's needed to make this vessel. So you would be holding all these prints (assuming I'm using them as collateral in this example) and I would be delivering the needed materials to you and you would be building the parts for me? And the ship for that matter? Is this correct? Also assuming I would be laying out the front isk to get these prints then giving them to you in order to get the Loan. Then I would be paying you a weekly interest on the amount borrowed one week in advance. |

This might be a silly question, but what do you mean when you say that BPOs used as collateral can be kept in production? Do you have some way for me to manufacture from BPOs that I would theoretically lock down with you? And if so, where would this take place (ie, needs to be an NPC station, could it be my POS) and how easy would it be to access and manufacture. And if that's not what you mean, what does keeping the BPO in production mean?
Thanks Explorer Sam

@Zaporozh That pretty much describes it yes.
@Explorer Sam Read Zaporozh post
The BPO's are kept with BIG - Ie. you won't have access to them. You simply deliver the mat's, and we produce, and deliver the finished product to you.

How would a loan work in the case of a super-capital purchase? Stick them in a BIG POS somewhere until the loan is paid off? I think I'd ask for blue standings to the POS so I could gaze lovingly at the new ship, and it would be good incentive to get the loan paid off faster :P

Tbh, the situation hasnt come up yet.
And as a general rule of thumb, we don't touch assets that can't be put on the market.
Whether we'd wan't to take part in the scenario you describe, would mostly depend on the expected loan length. As I don't fancy babysitting a super-cap for several months... Too rich a target, if you get my drift...
