All,
I currently have a Megathron but am a little bored with it, what is the best battleship of them all at the moment?
It has got to be the Raven or Megathron right?

Raven = ugly but powerful
Theres also the Apoc which is pretty damned powerful, and the Tempest.

Hmm I did fancy an apoc a while back but the lack of drone space put me off

Well, since im in first let me say that there IS no best battleship before the rest comes in and does it.
Aside from that it depends what you want it for.
I think Raven's are pretty good atm, when you dont want to mine. Missiles are pretty cheap now so hunting BS has become more cost-effective now.
Apoc is nearly unkillable 1v1
Tempest is still very versatile
Megathron pwns with its turret damage capability.
Sooo, I would say wait two weeks and look again. People will have settles in by then and can decide whats top be the next nerf/boost.

Apoc is the best overall battleship:
Its ability to tank so it can take 1vs1 dmg without problem, its dmg output is ok and turn your setup into a mining setup and your the best miner. So overall best pvp ship.

I'd have to agree with TGIF.
Stick some 'good' lasers on it and it's a great rat hunting ship.

gotta be the raven for pvp. no doubt about it.
you give me a bs that can hit more per turret/missile slot than a raven. the raven can put on 6 launchers all having cruise and hitting 450 every shot at huge ranges. then fill the rest with bs sized railguns. not to mention it is a great EW ship, same capabilities as a blackbird except it has huge amount of power, cpu, cap than the blackbird. imagine 4 lovely multi spectrals and 1 warp jammer n a webber in their. just like it says on the tin, not much rivals its strength and majestry. the apoc's disability is the cap. take our the cap, then disable its advantages of shield and energy weapons. u do the same tactic on a raven, itll still come at ya with 6 cruise missiles. Or you could tank that raven up to a right ba***rd in defence.

how will u fit 6 siege launchers and 2 bs sized guns on raven again? reminder: raven has only 9500 PG. with engineering 5 that makes 11875. U cant even fit XL shield booster on it, with that setup on high slots. So u need sacrifice offense for defense. Or u die 2 quick. U can try fitting cruise missile launchers, but their RoF is bad so DOT is much worse than DOT of siege launchers. Also shield tanking is not an option anymore, since cap power relays have negative bonus on shield boosting.
I think Apoc is the best BS atm. Imposible to kill 1v1. And good dmg output.

I'd Have to go with the Megathrone for PvP...When you think PvP mainly takes place at close distances..Its not often that you see a fight taking place 60K's player from player..With the Mega i have 6 Blasters(4 Neutron 2 Ion) orbiting at optimal range of 5-7k's and 2 Heavy Nosferatu's...A MWD to get close with the release of 10 drones. Making a missle boat the only real threat as even Multi's on a Apoc would struggle to hit hard at that close. And recently tested against a Tempest and finished with 63%armour in tack......Dont shoot the messenger

The best Battleship is the Raven, Scorpion, Megathron, Dominix, Appoc, 'Geddon, Tempest and Typhoon.
It all depends on what you want it for and how you set it up and in what circumstances you use it.

atm with the new missles and boosts, raven is the best by far, there is no contest tbh... especially with turrets being a fubarred as they are now...

PVP, not PVR, Player Vs Rock is not PVP. unless its a financial fight.

Apoc is best mining ship and if you go npc hunting with lasers it doesnŠt cost anything(if you stay allive ) and it is great to have in pvp battles to deal dmg(nothing like raven tho...)but if you use lasers for every meaning it is cheaper to have than any ship that uses ammo/missiles. and you get the most proffit out of kill missions because you donŠt have to buy ammo(btw DON`T do missions with raven armed with 6 siege lauchers or you will proffit only half of what you get with guns)
And i know you can always fit lasers to other ships but apoc has much more cap than any other ship because of the ship bonus. |

The DOM has made a comeback. Now with the ability to control 15 drones, the trend in armor tanking, and the new 350 guns, the DOM has alot more uses. I think in terms of lvl1 bs it is clearly the most versatile, but of course scorp will always be around for ecm jamming.
