for empire logistics we need a ship freighter that can move a range of assembled ships from one side of eve so we can have set up and organized logistics for empire wars. this will stop a new area of operations 20-30 jumps from your normal base needing 40-60 trips each way to move any insure or rigged ship which is quite boring for anyone to do and also reduces the amount of operations carriered out by the server.
for 5 rigged ships to get to a new war zone in empire 20 jumps from there current potion takes 180 total jumps to get the ships there for 1 pilot with a dedicated ship you have 20 jumps and potentially several pilots worth of ships moved in one ship.
also adds another empire suicide target.
the ships should based around the freighters skill and with the hp of freighters possible a bit more due to there importance as targets. maybe this could be a teir 2 freighter.
carrier sized ship maintenance day and a 30-35K cargo space to take ammo and charges with it.
1-1.2 bil area cost

No. It -shouldn't- be easy to move large amounts of assembled ships. EVE is too small as is.
Repackage them and then transport them.

its already easy to move large amounts of uninsured and un rigged ships about its a freighter
so why hate players who uses insurance on ships and uses rigs add a method to move them.

The only situation I see this making any sense in is when you're relocating and want to move your hangar en masse. Between situational fittings, insurance, and rigs, repackaging the whole thing is a huge PITA.
Unfortunately, I think any easy solution would be just as easily abused. Perhaps once Interbus is (ever) implemented, a ship transport fee can be paid to move your fleet over a 24h period. 100k per ship, per jump sounds like a resonable fee. //// ---------=== []= ---------=== \\\\ Rifter(RedBad)
