If you're looking for getting through gate camps, have you considered a covops?
If you're not carrying anything valuable, an executioner or vigil with istabs and a mwd will do.

Ares is faster.
Overdrive II x3 Nanofiber II x1 1MN MWD II x3
Aside from that, not important what you fit if it's purely for gate-camp dodging. Although if that IS it's only purpose, fit a cloak onto it in case you find yourself in a well setup camp with rapiers/good inties. Pulse the MWD and hit cloak, then point the nose down or up.

Edited by: Xori Ruscuv on 13/10/2008 13:12:42 @ OP: But if you're looking for the ability to warp quickly, STRAIGHT LINE speed isn't everything. You'll probably want a balance of overdrives + istabs?

I've lost a few Taranis to gate camps, but I've never lost an Ares to one. Great for perma tackle too

Ares definetly, but if you want to survive bubbles...well you need speed + something against the warp jammers (or enough speed to burn through and simply putt...i don't think even the ares has that much speed, go minnie).
