I have 3 accaunts. Now a want cancel one or two of them. But a dont want loose my chars. So, if you want cancel Ghost Training - cancel transfer fee (20$), at least for month or so.

so you want them to cancel training of non-paid for characters in exchange for a free transfer fee... well they could do that.. except as far as i'm aware they've already disabled training for characters on unpaid for accounts.. so you've got half your wish

So your ghost training exploit should reward you with free character transfer...
I rather wish CCP removed a lot of skill points from people like you who doesn't contribute to the greater good. ------------------------------ Adding bounty will not make it easier to kill me. |

Not exactly. The thing is, CCP has been getting fat off people who have 2nd accounts or 3rd..
or more to the point, off the isk sellers that very likely make up more than half their subscription base.
They want more subscribers aka more isk sellers. Remember, Iceland economy is going down the drain these days so any $$ is useful to them. 'Long overdue fix' is just an excuse for 'crap we need money look through all the bugs to fix and lets see which one makes us some' and they found this and fixed it BEFORE fixing the more obvious game-breaking bugs and issues.
Hence, now they want to 'force' you to keep your account active in order to pay an entire month's subscription to get a single skill which, by design, was made that way to keep you in the game as long as possible before you quit.
Bad thing is, I don't think CCP understands the way the player's think just in the same way their Icelandic banks couldn't understand the simple concept of not lending money they dont have to begin with.
All this will do is create a cessation of many accounts which would've otherwise keep providing them with revenue for year(s) every off-month. Now, all they will get is either the transfer character fee or no money at all as players cancel or transfer their characters off.
Not a very bright idea in hard times methinks.

Who said this was all about Money anyway?
I can't see how CCP can make money over this change, if people can't afford to pay then they can't.
Skilling while inactive was a bug, it was never a feature. CCP decided not to do anything about it until now...why? Well the only possible reason is character farming, as technically you can skill a character for 12mths worth of skill for only 6 mths of account time (6 mths active/6mths inactive) So small skilled (10-12mil SP)character sales will eventually go down.

If it was a bug, why the manual listed it as a feature? If it was a bug why they mentioned it as a selling point for Eve Online? Don't get me wrong: I see why it is unfair, but I see why it was needed.
If you have long skills to train, soon you see no goal, no motivation to play the game, since nothing really changes. Ability to continue on a 2nd account without too much extra cost was a feature, that helped most people on the long run. Either because you used it directly, or because your corpmates stayed in the game.
There is a difference between some training when you can't play for good reasons, which is a good feature if used fairly... And use of duplicate characters for more buy and sell orders, etc. and use two characters for the price of one as a planned tactic to gain an unfair advantage. Two times the research points, two times the ISK from it, two times the buy and sell orders (you can stock up for months) is a major advantage and an unfair advantage.
Since char trading is allowed (we have a forum for it) abusing this feature to train long skills on cheap characters with almost no costs and make profit on it, is lost money to CCP, and is highly unfair.
This feature was in the way of implementing other important features, like skill queues, or faster skill training. Faster skill training would help to reduce the gap between old and new players. Skill queues would mean you no longer have to build your sleep pattern around eve online.
Yet people were made decisions based on this advertised feature. And this feature was important when you train long skills.
They removed this feature, for good reasons, but they should fix the problems they create now, buy adjusting skill training times, implementing skill queues, etc.

i don't think thats what he ment by inactive...
he means inactive as in: not paying for the subscription anymore...
if he really WAS talking about just going offline and still being able to skill, then i'm very sorry to have said otherwise...
