As of now open to hardcore PvP offers. plz email in game if you need a short time merc. (no payment i have everything i need)................. "Teh lord of Nonni"

Bah everyone who leaves for L2 seems to come back, so here's my advice, 2 options: 1) Don't leave! 2) Leave and for gods sake SAVE YOUR CHARACTER so you don't get ****ed off later

Oh yeah, um, "Can I have your stuff?" Lol, just kidding. (although if you really want to...)
Anyhow, PvP suggestions, hmmm. Well me being not into PvP, I'd say hunt the pirates before you go. Head into .4 to .1 space and go search for them like they would miners or the like. Become the hunter instead of the hunted yourself in the name of good.

Hunting griefers is overrated, hehe. Hunt them in smaller numbers, they kill you and rant omgwtfpwnage. Hunt them in bigger numbers, they run/safepoint/logoff and call you a coward.
If you ever see a rat who gladly looses his ship in danger he probably buys isk on ebay anyway, hehe. It's the best rush in EVE though if you can cope with these simple factors.
Hunting griefers is alot better now though with 10sec invul gone and such. It will rock even more if you get covert op frigs and something against the insta-logoff but hey, cant get it all eh? :)

I'd intrust your account to a friend and allow them to use it/keep skills training for you after you leave. At least you'd have something to come back to, as stated before. Twas an action I ingaged in, and was quite happy I had.

EVE is a great game, One of the best games i have ever played. Subscribeing for over a year says that alone. But like any other game ive ever played without player interaction they just bore me. Its like MOHAA and BF1942/NAM ive never ever played first player mode just any game i get i jump into Multiplayer mode straight away.
Not that theres anything lacking from the PvP aspect of the game but there are things that i hate about it and that bores me. the one major thing that i really cant stand is the "show pilots in space" "local chat" amongst the top contenders.
get rid of these 2 factors and you have a whole new game. other than that EVE's been good to me only one battleship lost to players (well Zombies all 8 of them) and had a handfull of pleasant war encouters with CA and many a burning ship in the distance.
But the bordem lies in local chat. the game i want to play PvP is hindered by Blob wars and seeing your enemy and how many of them there are in your solar system...

I currently am playing it until my next payment runs out and will have to decide between L2 and Eve...for me Eve is definitely the better game, but I have a couple of close freinds who are infatuated with L2...L2 is like a huge fantasy blow-up doll who looks really good at first but later you will find out she has no brains and her warranty just ran out and shes leakin air like a siv!!!!!

[rant] I played Lineage 2 for open beta + about a month afterwards.
It started out good fun, but in the end I was just getting really, really bored. The combat system is even more simple than in EVE, there is no such thing as character diversity or character customization at all and the monster drop rates are so low there's extremely little loot to play around with. Then add the fact that the American Dev team doesn't know anything about what's going to happen in a patch 'till 2-3 days after the servers have been patched ... then GMs call you a n00b instead of helping you when you do petitions ... I really shouldn't have wasted my money on that game. The only thing that kept me playing it for more than a week was the people I played with. [/rant]

i played lineage 2 open beta and realised how totally pap it was, the same **** different day as every other hack and slash mmorpg, honestly you'll realsie what a silly move it is when you break 5 minutes of game play. the eve community is one of the nest ive seen, except maybe for DoD which has THE most friendly community ever. anyway i hope you come back, we had some fun with you and hope you realise what your missing.

Not a comment on L2, ain't tried it. But my comment on what to do when you quit EVE is based on quitting it 2X.
DON'T QUIT. Just stop playing for a couple months, but keep skills training. My first quit was minor and was more of a "kill my characters and start fresh", but my second was a huge mistake. I gave away all my stuff to mates and missed 3 months of skill training. I ballpark about a mil skillpoints a month, depending on your attribures, skill choices and implants (if any).
Granted my mates were pretty generous when I got back, but I'm still not back up Isk or assests wise to what I was when I quit, even though I've been back a couple of months. And yes, I really was sure at the time I was quitting, 100% no doubt. Still changed my mind though

Leave for a few months, take a break and come back. I played in beta and was here for release. Stayed till about August or September, don't remember which. Then CCP did something that I don't remember any other MMO doing. They sent me a 14 day trial for my having been a beta tester. That was classy to me, so I came back to see what had changed and compared to release thre more good then bad. Hey I got battleship now, when I left I could bearly keep up with the cruisers I was losing ninja mining. (Thanks to all those CA people that enjoyed hunting me, you know who you are <smile> Pod you later)
So take a break, come back when Shiva is released and you will probably feel better. Whatever you do, don't make the mistake I did of not keeping your skills training. 2005.01.21 05:09:06combatYour Tachyon Beam Laser I perfectly strikes Blood Priest, wrecking for 533.1 damage. |

I know tonnes of guys in GODS who dabbled/dabble in L2, most of those who tried it in BETA came back the second they had to pay cos it wasn't worth it. None of the content is in yet....
But it's always good to get a break for a while to help you appreciate the game more, personally i just set up a second account and choose a different career with different ships and different choices, it opened up new things to me and now when i get my 2nd PC i can run both so i'll have 2 different experiences of EVE from 2 different view points....
Whatever you do keep coming back in just to skill and get those pesky LO-O-O-O-ONG term skills going while ur away. If in a good while you're still happy NOT playing EVE then you'll know its time to go. If you wanna come back however you'll have the skills to carry on --------------------------------------------------------------

I'm planning on keeping Eve and picking up Guild Wars when it's released. Guild Wars won't have a regular monthly fee (just 'optional' content upgdates). I was fairly impressed by the Guild Wars E3 for Everyone demo.
That should be a proper mix of fantasy and sci-fi to satisfy my multiplayer desires, and just one monthly fee :)
If you do leave don't trash your character for no reason. You might want to pop in briefly whenever Shiva is released.. ;)
