Hello Ships and Modules readership,
This is a "I quit" post. I post it here because I think I was one of the regulars, because I wanted to thank a few of you.
Liang Nuren, Cpt Branko, Merin Ryskin, Malcanis and a few others : you are smart people and even disagreeing with you was a pleasure (for some of you meeting you in space wasn't such a pleasure).
I hope my legacy in this forum is to have avoided at least a reader a comedy killmail, or at least that they were on the "Involved parties" side if it still did happen.
My char will be transferred in a few days, the new owner may or may not wish to post with him, but in a few days it will stop being "me".
My reasons for leaving are quite simple, 5 node crashes Saturday, an undead mothership, and now a CCP in full lying and censoring mode about the "ghost training" ensured that CCP got the last of my money they would ever have. My faith was already put to test by the chainsaw surgery approach to ship balance, but for me it's clear now the game is not progressing but worsening. The CCP of old is dead, and I don't want anything to do with the new one.
You can't have my stuff, it will go with my char (sorry about the only half fitted Navythron). Your signature is too large. Please resize it to a maximum of 400 x 120 with the file size not exceeding 24000 bytes. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] - Mitnal |

See you in a few months. For all their screwups, CCP still has one advantage: their competition sucks even more. We'll see you back in a few months once you get tired of all those carebear games... maybe by then we'll have been able to beat some sense into CCP.

EVE was my first, and will be my last MMORPG, so their competition or lack thereof is irrelevant to me. All considered I prefer the social impact of FPS and I was there for the pew pew not the people (even if people were nice).

Shame to see one of the regulars go, all the best to you.
I would've advised to keep your character just in case you do feel like coming back eventually.

That's for your regular emoragequit
This time I feel like burning all bridges, and I have good homes in mind for both my chars.
I didn't use the ghost training feature much because I was, well, playing the game, so I certainly didn't feel strongly about the issue. I do however feel strongly about the lying to the customers and forum censorship surrounding the case.
Altogether, what will have drove me out of the game will be the GMs and the forums mods, I could certainly live with the bugs and the overzealous nerf bat in such a complex product but the corporate culture around it now have a horribly rotten stench.

It's just that some of us lost almost all our respect or/and confidence we had in CCP seeing (from out perspective/what we in our opinion consider) one bad decision after another.
I'd quit myself, but I'm too curious how this will end. The general "forum population" is showing dislike HOWEVER, if we take a look at the ghost training removal topic in the information portal, we notice that it's only gotten ~1300 replies, which is quite a minor part of the 60k someting active playerbase.
Meaning that it could be so that alot of people simply does'nt care at all. It's like an interesting experiment. ---

Personally, I always viewed "Ghost training" as a bug.

That is some what true. How many players dont check the forums? I read a post by Leobon about how they should stop selling GTC b/c one month old players shouldnt be able to have a full faction fitted CNR. Which kills the game more?

It's not the "ghost training", it's what might be the results of the last decisions by CCP.
GTC nerf - forum team is displeased Speed nerf - much more of the forum team displeased than vice versa ghost training removal - forum team is displeased. again.
except for the stacklessIO it's just been boo boo boo. mmorpgs with too much on the boo side eventually fails. We think that CCP is smart enough to avoid this kind of thing, but it's really put on doubt now. ---

Saying you prefer the social aspect of FPS games seems rather steange considering 99% of FPS players are pea brained hooting jocks calling each other homosexuals.
But i digress, buh byes.

The idea is that FPS take less time so I have more time for a more developed OOG social life, not that players are interesting in anyway, they are just targets tbh.
