About as rich as me and I'm neither a pirate or a miner.
We've had this argument lots of times, Tank, and nothing has changed. Perhaps Shiva will change things....(that's the answer to everything, I think).

But consider the risk factor/profit.
Tank, what is the risk? What kind of numbers are you engaging?
Have you tried piracy in 0.0? People there tend to fly better equipment.

Have you ever tought how it is to be a lone pirate or in a small pirate corp trying to pirate out in 0.0 ? you might get couple of kills sure you can prolly find much nicer targets, miners ,npc hunters ,travelers whatever. But what ruins your geniral idea is the fact that you will eventualy get overunned by Megacorps bringing 2 times 3 times or maybe 5 times your numbers to drive you away from that sector/region. Your most succeful would be Raids and maybe bring some chaos into that sector but not for very long time till the cavalary is sent out there so i think i understand why Tank chooses to hide within the sheeps instead going into the big field ..simply good stragtigy and if he can get away with it..good for him too.
First try piracy before you judge it.
I have and it was indeed not profitable.
However, 0.0 is rich pickings BECAUSE of the risk of insta-blobbing by 0.0 alliances.
