What the hell is CCp Playing at?

CCP have my card details and that's it as far as they're concerned, I can't pay in advance unless I want to fart around with GTC's, I want to be able to pay my subs when I have the money, not when CCP think, also what's with the extra charge for those who pay by CC/DD, there shouldn't be a surcharge, you are getting the money paid directly into your account by electronic transfer, there is no need for this.

Welcome to the real world Subscriptions rarely give you any flexibility in when you pay so you're going to have to get used to it. They do however tend stick to the same date so anyone with a reasonable grasp of financial planning and adequate funds should have no problems. As money is only going out once per month, it shouldn't matter. If you're the type who spends everything he has before the end of the month, you probably should either: a. Start making a budget and stick to it (if you earn a decent wage) b. I do budget, it's simply that I like to get all my bills out of the way in one go, is that too difficult to understand. they didn't say it was a waste of money (genius), they said that if you can't afford to pay for it when it's due, you need to budget better/earn more/stop playing EVE. had you stated clearly what you were trying to say perhaps they wouldn't have jumped to that conclusion but your comment of "I want to be able to pay my subs when I have the money, not when CCP think" does lend itself to the idea that you aren't very adept at spreading your money out. that all said, i'm having a hard time thinking about ANY billing cycle i'm on - except for my mortgage/credit cards - where i can make early payments, just because it suits me. ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++

I send money to my account back in the states, where I have to pay a fee from Deutsche Bank to initiate the International transfer, then a fee on the other end from my US bank. If they use a third party to do the transfers of course there will be a charge, as that company has to deal with fees AND try to make a profit in the pay business.

What we wrote was that it was such a small amount of money that if you have difficulty paying for it on the same date every month then your current financial position is poor and you need to reconsider your subscription. Preferring to pay bills at the start of the month is less of an issue. If it's a real problem then it still suggests some financial issues but not as severe. Unfortunately my comment about you having little choice still stands. It's very unusual to be offered the chance to choose your payment date for any kind of regular bill.
