They exist in the 8 regions collectively referred to as "the drone regions". This space is 0.0, and sovereignty goes to whatever alliance can hang on to it. Baka Lakadaka Gallente Agony Unleashed Agony Empire	Posted - 2008.10.17 01:59:00 - [7] That's right, they're drones that went bad, so they don't need stations, although I suspect they have some secret hives that we haven't worked out how to find yet (and maybe we never will - it's up to the creative minds at CCP where that goes). They seem to just tool around in the drone regions, where players can kill them and loot their wrecks. I've seen a load of Domination drones but they aren't "commander" spawns are they? What extra loot drops from the "commander" spawns of the drones? Just rarer stuff and better salvage materials?

A Domination Saint or Dread Guristas Destroyer is a commander spawn. Commander spawns are the names given to the "faction" spawns, as people like to call them these days. Officer Spawns are the Officers - estamel, brocka, Vepas etc Commander Spawns are the "faction" spawns - Dread, Domination, Dark, True, Shadow etc and then you get your normal spawns. In the case of the drone regions, Drone Queens and Matriarchs would fall under "Commander" spawns. Incedently, whilst I'm making my guide to ratting; which is better - a Queen or a Matriach, anyone know?

There is an elite drone type called "sentient" which drop tech two salvage and parts for making modified drones. There are also Hive Mothers in some of the harder explorations who can drop billions of tech 2 salvage.
