I have been playing with the idea of converting to piracy. But i wasnt sure about raising your security status.
say i get into piracy, and like a month or two later, decide i want to stop pirating and return to other things. is it possible to raise your security status high enough to get back into highsec? or are you permanently lowsec?
also, how low of a security status do you need to be attacked in highsec? _____________________ *warp drive acti...wait, where are we going?*

there are many, many threads on this subject. I suggest searching through C&P for them.

being an outlaw sucks, the one time I was an outlaw (for about 5 weeks) I nearly quit the game over it, I just got ganked over and over and over and over again, I much prefer the mobility of a high sec status where I can hop between low sec pockets quickly, the more interesting stuff happens outside the main low sec pocket (egghelende / amamake / old man star)
if you like sitting on a gate ganking stuff go outlaw, if you like to solo dont.

Aight,
Repairing status: Repairing sec status is not that hard. You gain sec every 15 minutes for every kill per system. So if u keep switching systems and only killing a C/BC/BS it will go quite fast. Lowsec guestimate is about 24 hours(?) in 0.0 its gonna be about 6-12 depening on skills and shiptype (Can I hear u say ishtar?).
Being attacked: U can obviously be attacked at anytime, but sentry guns will stop defending u once u hit -5 and below.
Highsec acces: Security status: Empire restrictions Below -2 = not in 1.0 sec systems Below -2.5 = not in 0.9 sec systems Below -3 = not in 0.8 sec systems Below -3.5 = not in 0.7 systems Below -4 = not in 0.6 systems Below -4.5 = not in 0.5 systems -5 or below = KOS in all empire.
That should be all your questions, feel free to send as much isk (or contracts containing ships and modules) to me as u feel is enough (tip: alot)

Yes but get ready do kill a rat. Wait 15 mins. Kill a rat. Wait 15 mins. Repeat.
Because there's some first rat you kill every 15 mins gives you a sec standing raise, so it's most effective to kill the most expensive rat you can every 15 mins. ---
