Smash the supplier, level 4 mission against the amarr navy. Several things here:
(1) you got to destroy 4 structures. and by destroy i mean multiple misile reloads in a CNR. (2) while you are doing (1) contend with a huge fleet of amarr BS. (3) no bounties. (4) faction hits.
The loot salvage might be worthwhile but i didnt stay around long enough to see, huge timesink/faction ****.
So in summary:
Dont accept it its made of fail. Its a fail sandwich with extra fail dressing and a side order of fail. Why is this even a L4 mission? Keep the factions for the people doing faction warfare tbh i dont want to be dealing with this BS.
that is all.

I know what you mean, 90% of pirate missions are against the 4 main factions. Bit of a pita.

It is one of the best missions you can get right now. There are at least 21 Amarr battleships - that's a tremendous amount of tags, loot and salvage. You don't have to destroy all four structures. Kill the Amarr fleet, then blow up the control tower. Mission accomplished. As for the hit to my faction standing, I don't care. Rather than be frustrated, I chose my side in the upcoming struggle and now happily wreck my Amarr and Caldari standing whenever I can. I am all in favor of increased anti-faction missions. ------------

It is a very profitable mission if you loot the whole thing. There were quite a few wrecks that dropped 2 Amarr Navy General II tags that sell to npcs for 750k each and they can be used in the Minmatar LP store. I found about 30 mil worth of tags from it I think, and thats just the NPC buy order prices. But it does cost standings and it is a very difficult mission since there are a ton of waves that all spawn in only a few minutes. But if you kite the mission you will barely get scratched, you'll just have wrecks strung out over 250 km.

Actually, (3) enormous bounties. Those Amarr missions bring in untold millions in bounties. ________________________________________________

It doesn't have to be kited, my Dominix tanks the whole thing without any trouble. ------------

what he said, after i got to know the mission a bit better it's now one of my favourite missions
and yeah i stopped caring about standings too, so more missions like this please CCP (read: missions with tons of BS's that drops good tags) -sig-

You only need to destroy the tower. When that blows, it takes the 3 shipyards with it.

Tip: Destroying the ship yards stops the spawns of that ship type. For example, killing the frigate ship yard stops all further frigate respawns. It makes the mission a whole lot easier if you can destroy them before a large number of ships have been spawned and overwhelm you. The Frigate shipyard is actually has reasonable amount of hitpoints, killed it in about 30s with my Railguns and Curator I's from warpin in a dominix. The cruiser shipyard was about 2-3x as tough as the frigate one, and the battleship about twice as tough as the cruiser shipyard.

Yeah, really. If you want to be everybody's friend, get a Hulk and mine.
All of this is moot, though, because this game has a serious lack of space whales. |

Ran this 2 nights ago solo in a CNR. As long as you manage aggro and maintain some distance it is doable.
I suggest ignoring the structures till last, concentrate fire on BSs and unleash drones on the cruisers and frigs (T2 hammers for me).
took about 1 hour for me to complete then 1/2 hour to salvage. After refining loot and selling all tags, salv and mins it netted me 50Mil and only a 0.3 standing loss.
small price to pay for 50mil in an hour and a half i think.
This mission is not "fail" it can be very lucrative. I suggest to all those who don't like standing hits.....DON'T DO FACTION MISSIONS!! simple really init

This was a funny one, did it twice (once in a Domi the other in a Mega), dozens of amarr BS, like to blow out those amarrians to hell. The standings with Amarr, who cares ?

Mission netted me a little over 40mil in salvage/loot/tags. Overall I can make more doing simpler missions for LP. There's also sick DPS in this mission for a lvl 4. I took the time to count all rats and it added up to 2800+ DPS. You can tank it all with a dedicated logistics/priest domi...but I found it easier to get a buddy in his ABing ceptor.
If you loot missions you'd be stupid to refuse this one. If not, then it's a waste of time.

solo in an Ishtar...
nice mission, right at 40m ISK, mostly in tags.
Lots of dps, fun to check the tank with.
Took longer to salvage than to kill tbh.
Moar Amarr kill missions, pl0x.

I'm firmly with the OP here, I'm not looking for factional warfare to cut off half of high sec.. I'm looking for quick high sec fun. It would be nice to be able to filter out missions against the 4 major factions. Right now, I have a 4 hour wait (which means no missioning for me tonight) because I just got this mission after rejecting "surprise surprise".
And for the people who seem angry at the people who want to be able to work for everyone, why not? If it's RP you are angry at, I play as a mercenary willing to fight for the highest bidder :) But like to keep my employers varied.

you are limiting youre self in eve... cutting youre self off from half of empire is utter bull****. would not surprise me if ccp start implimenting more faction missions vs other empire factions... amarr vs minnie and gal etc..
How often do you go into youre opposing factions space? and whats wrong with training up some social skills to remedy youre empire safe haven? only you choose to have a 4 hour wait...
Do you know? tags are not corp taxed? they are taxed at market rate something liek a couple of percentage. THINK ABOUT IT!

Actually, I already have diplomacy 5, and my amarr and caldari standings are already negative (I used to run missions against them, realized I was screwing myself over).
I like to be able to go join some friends in amarr or caldari space to run missions with them instead of making them always come to gallente space. Not to mention that there is no way I am cutting myself off from Jita, nor a really cheap rigged bs on contract that just happens to be in amarr or caldari space.
> Do you know? tags are not corp taxed? they are taxed at market rate something liek a couple of percentage. THINK ABOUT IT!
Given that I'm currently in an NPC corp while I train before I go into 0.0, there is only a small portion of eve (high sec) that is actually accessible to me. I don't want to make it any smaller (and I really don't relish running missions in low sec where I get blown up while undocking... tried that, no fun).
And who knows how long I'll last in 0.0? I don't want to cut off access to what has been for me the most fun part of eve, pve with a rl friend or two without getting swarmed by player pirates with faar more SP than us and fit out for pvp instead of missions.

I look forward to killing my amarr standings... ( even tho i spent the better half of 4 weeks doing delivery missions ), guess i am going to have to do galante missions oneday.
I can sit on a station in amarr... killing them faction ships... collecting salvage all day lol.
also not like that will scramble me huh? just a small spawn.
you know what the best part about missions for gurista is? the blood raider and sansha standing gains. who knows? maybe oneday my alliance might move to stain and i can run some missions down there too.

Originally by: Srioghal moDhream I know what you mean, 90% of pirate missions are against the 4 main factions. Bit of a pita.
no they are not. thats like saying empire agents put you up vs all pirate factions 90% of the time. NOT TRUE...
if you work for amarr as a mission runner and avoid all angel missions. you can happily do missions for angel cartel later on if you wish with no danger to youre amarr and caldari standings i know this 1st hand. BUT it does screw over youre galante and minmatar standings real bad. not to mention it can also affect ammatar standings as well if you do the odd mission for them.
working for gurista i fight mainly amarr and caldari. thats about 40% of the time. 10% of the time its drones and the other? its apposing pirate factions. mordus, angel cartel and serpentis.. great huh?

I do quite dislike amarr, and I must admit that farming the amarr navy sounds fun :) You've given me something to think about.
However, there is no way I can afford to get locked out of Jita. I guess if I keep my caldari standings up I can always get amarr standings back by derived changes :)

as longas you can work for khanid, ammatar and caldari you can fix youre standings... if not youre going to have to start turning down faction missions as thats what hurts youre standings too.

With this thread in mind I timed myself doing this mission...
3.9M SP character flying a Maelstrom and then coming back to salvage in a Hurricane.
Time taken to undock kill all the ships, the mission objective control tower, then redock and turn in - 59 minutes.
Time taken to undock, salvage and redock - 28 minutes.
Mission Reward 1,950,000 Time Bonus 1,730,000 Loyalty Points 7334 Loot and Salvage Screenie
Selling Tags directly to buy orders 16,650,000 Selling Salvage Directly to buy orders 15,100,000 Selling reprocessed mins to buy orders 6,400,000
Total reward = 41,830,000 and 7334 LPs Assuming 1000Lp's = 1Mill isk then an easy 50Mill
If you've got the tiniest bit of nonce with trading and don't sell to buy orders, then at least another 5Mill to be made.
So that works out at 36.7 Mill per hour for a single 3.9Mill SP character.
If I only played 15 hours per week (I don't, I play more than that I'm sure) and only got missions of this quality, then after 2 months I'd have 4Bill saved up to go and buy a new toon from the character bazaar and give a middle finger to the standing hit as I gain 4 or 5 Million SP's.
Yeah I like this mission :)

This. Also, standing loss from aggression is -0.0% on standings transaction table --- negligible. Very easy 10-15 minute mission.
Edit: Forgot to add, don't kill any ships so it's only -0.0% standing loss.
