Can level 3 missions be done in a HAC? I don't really want to skill up the BC line, but am a few days from using a HAC and need to do level 3 missions to get standings up for level 4 missions... Would a myrm or ishtar work better?

Level 3s should be easy in a HAC, Ishtar will be far better than Myrmidon because you can not only use heavy and sentry drones, but you can have a variety of drone types in your ship at once. I would keep a set of 5 Heavies, 5 Sentries, and 5 mediums in your shp to deal with various targets.

The Ishtar is awesome for Level 3s and Level 4s, against enemies that do Kinetic and Thermal damage.

A sacrilege can also work well for level 3s and 4s, especially against angels. Only drawback is alot of ammo and not really as efficient as a battleship.

HACs should breeze through level 3s.
An Ishtar, for example, should make level 4s like a walk in the park. With the right fit and correct strategy, it can (from player reports) solo level 5s.

Ishtar is great tanker, especialy against guristas and serpentis. Lvl 3 are joke with him. I did lvl 3 in vexor. And it is good that you maximise your drone skills.
For guristas I prefer Wasp II over Ogre II.
Week ago I tanked guristas anomaly in 0.0 with ratts 9 mil bounty (7 bs's 1.15 mil and 5 hac's) and it was easy.
And if Nos is problem in some missions you can sit far away with ishtar and use sentry drones.

Cerberus can run Level 4's with little difficulty bar the really tough ones - WC, ES5/5, although AE/GE bonus rooms are possible.

never had a problem using cerb in level 4's so far.
