It's fairly obvious that the north will be controlled by the bob/scandinavian/euro blob. How embarrassing must it be to be american in eve ? You have absolutely no powerblocs, even the french ffs have marginalised you and have claimed space in the name of france. Are we to live in an eve universe where power is e-bayed between jake nobles AAA and his scandinavian / euro BOB power sharing extavaganza ? Are americans happy to play second/third fidddle to this ??? Before you post and before you x up in these russian/north euro fleets, go check your identity and think if you're happy to trade the stars and stripes for a sickle and a frozen scythe... Despite being a far younger alliance than BoB, Goonswarm has achieved much more, and goons are free from the sort of red-pen waving tyranny of BoB's whiny prima donna leadership. They usually don't log off until about 1 hour before I'm going to log off, usually midnight or earlier. Australians are early risers in the gaming community and tend to join us around 10 pm. So it's less of a question of having an independent time zone as OP seems to think. Which is great because it allows us Americans to laugh at your moon speak.

Yes we as a people make many mistakes, as if the rest of the world never did / does. You say we sold our freedom for equality. Some people in the human race believe that everyone has potential. Even though our systems fail on many levels, and they do for anyone ready and willing to defend them blindly, they are not perfect and never will be, (back to the point) we attempt to fix things. Also first person shooters are big as well Halo 3, CoD 4, all of the battle field series. Those get more positive exposure from a "social" stand point then Eve in America that is for sure. I have played MMOs on and off since 2003, and I didnt even know Eve existed until 2006. I respect the people who have been able to dominate the same time consuming hobby for 4 or 5 straight years, because I know I could not for many reasons. You're not supposed to play one game only day in day out, it will get you burned out very quickly. I play EVE, COD 4, Assassins Creed (still haven't finished it), Civilisation IV, GRAW, The Witcher and a card game from time to time. EVE doesn't bore me to death and I never feel that I have reached the point where I just can't log in anymore. When I get fed up with EVE I do something else. Most people who play one game only for a prolonged period of time leave, never to return.
