I know there's been a lot of fuss over CCP's cancellation of ghost training. I think both CCP and their customers have been treated unfairly by each other through this exchange, and I'd like to help bring peace and harmony back to this universe. Here's my modest proposal.
I've been playing for around a year, and like most people, I've taken breaks from playing EVE. After playing constantly for a few months it's nice to go play other games and then come back being able to fly new and exciting ships from ghost training.
CCP on the other hand needs the cash. They need the cash so badly that they risked ****ing of their entire customer base by being rather abrupt in cutting off a popular feature of the game. But it needs to be said, apparently CCP is a little short on dough right now, and you loyal customers should all realize that the devs don't hate you... even though it may seem that way sometimes.
So anyways, I've got a solution for it all: a solution that will appease both parties.
Let's let players buy training time off a skill. I mean really, with the current system, you're just paying for time anyways. So why not make 30 days of distributed skill training come with a nice 14.95 price tag? Apparently CCP needs the cash, so why not let em have it?
I mean hell, I don't want to wait over a month to let a skill get to lvl 5, so why not let everyone put a little money in the bank?

Look up the short story "A modest proposal". He isn't trying to be taken seriously. _______________

So basically...
You want ppl to pay the same price as a full subscribtion, but they'd only be able to train skills and not log on? Why exactly would that be good for anybody?

You insult me sir. Clearly I am not advising people to start eating babies. I'm just suggesting that some of EVE's more affluent players should be rewarded for their real life successes.
