All pod pilots, take heed! From The Amarr Empire, to the Gallente Federation, from the Jove Empire to Curse, all shall rejoice at the news!
Space is infinite, and as such "Universe" we live in is only but a fraction of the massive galaxy that we are a part of. As the four races excell outwards from the EVE gate, the empire expands, naming, controlling, and giving order to previously nomadic systems owned by viscious, greedy corporations. As the empire expands, new territories and new regions are discovered, with new undiscovered, dangerous space-bound races... races so powerful that only the largest fleets will be able to dispell their control of the regions. Along with the danger comes riches and potential profit far beyond that of anything we have seen before; new ore, new technologies to be discovered, and above all, more space to conquer.
Furthermore, thanks to a breakthrough in deep space survey technology, we have finally discovered a neighbor; a solar system cluster, much like our own.
However, due to the unimaginablly vast distance to the next solar system cluster, new jump technology must be implemented to bridge the gap to our next door neighbor. Surely, only the largest capital ships will be able to bridge the gap to the new world, bringing along with them all the pod pilots that they dare to carry with them.

Whoever dares. However, Due to a cosmic mystery, cyno jammers no longer work! =O
Seriously though, even in the EVE world, its about time for that to happen.
Please, God, send a comet down upon every cyno jammer. I am a noob. Eat me. |

Edited by: Chaos Incarnate on 20/10/2008 05:33:24 I'm happy with more space, but as with most things the people in the best position to take new space are going to be the well-situated alliances anyhow, so I don't much see the point _____________________

What he means is, if only capital ships can jump there, how would anyone get there to put a Cyno?

I'm surprised that wasn't said sooner.

would all this be on the existing hardware ? if it was going to be on new hardware then i think it would be a great idea, but then again if CCP were willing to buy new hardware then they could just upgrade what they have so it could actually cope with the number of players couldnt they ?

Can we send all the whiners to this new space and then seal it of so they can't come back?
We'll call it the Vale of the Whiners and we can banish people who whine on GD to stay there forever. --

I think what he was going for was a second cluster that is techincally connected to this one, youd just have to use a titan bridge to get there and back. Would be kinda cool, with Titan pilots moving people as a service (those insane enough).

Actually, from being highly skeptical, I kinda like it. Reminds me a little of the space race final objective in civilization. But having said that I wouldn't make it conquerable. I'd go with make it against the four races, pilots corps join npcs (do their thing) some kinda reward whatever. Which ever race gets there first gets some kinda monument and ummm dibs on being the race the gear is modeled off.
Or you could make it a free for all... random ship placement inside a closed off cluster... all wrecks get destroyed (no loot). No ISK. Personally I'd really like this one. As a young pvper it would have been a much better experience then fleet blobbing. When the fightings just about isk or camps; well thats when it becomes worth it to play unsportsman. Its amazing just how many misconceptions from lack of varied experience comes up. Hell from a roleplay call it the solar lottery, marmalade currency can be the requirement for pilots to prove worth.
