Hi all,
Does anyone ever get responses to what they post bug wise ?
Following having to resort to repackaging a scorp to be able to view in space objects I was advised to petition for lost insurance.
Have posted 3 times via bug reports on eve-online and got nothing back, not even a sod off.
There doesnt seem to be a better way to petition.

Bug reports are not used for getting stuff back or replies, they are for reporting bugs, and as such do not get a response. They are not petitions.
Petitions can be found ingame under the Help button or via Ask a Question on the support pages. _____________________________ I say hey sky, s'other say I won say, I pray to J I get the same ol' same ol. |

The only thing that disturbs me in all this is that a member of the "DEV TEAM" has enough free time to post to a forum; OK maybe his skills don't develope anything except post in here? Or maybe we can put him to work "developing" a search engine? Oveur hopefully you've returned to work, incase you havn't and are reading this, all the above stuff I meant in a nice way, basically
Stop griping about server instability and go buy an EVE mug!
Additionally with the purchase of each mug you will receive two(2) invisible Elves.

half the time people are complaining that the dev's dont listen to us and never communicate on the forums - then when they do reply other people complain that they should be busy working on the game not bothering to talk to us....

Xirae I sort of apologized in that last sentence, personally I don't want to talk to the Dev's, GM's or CM; and never to ISD ever again, I believe I've communicated with ISD enough for several lifetimes

Edited by: TGIF on 29/06/2004 13:47:28 Edited by: TGIF on 29/06/2004 13:46:41 What if you lose an item due to a bug and request a refund from items? Wouldnt it be better to have 1 location/inflow from messages from the community what is reviewed by 1 department (mailagents) who is forwarding all these messages into diffrent que's? Instead of expecting the community to do so.
So that mailagents make the incident, and keep the ticket in ownership, they make a workorder for GM's to investigate the bug if it is known and replace lost items, and the agents make a workorder for DEVS to take a look into it. - - -

Funny .. when the devs doesnt write on the forum people whine why the devs doesnt communicate ... and when they do respond, you whine why the devs arent working instead of posting on the forums

Ive never understood what petition I must send if the game has ripped me off in some way thats not directly 1. an agent mission, 2. me being physically stuck in some way, or 3. another player griefing me.
i.e. what do I do if I find what I belive to be a bug, but its a bug that negativly effects my character in some unfair way
examples would include :- 1. CONCORD attacks me for no reason. 2. Invincible rats attack and destroy my ship. 3. The skill system spends a few days telling me its training a skill but actually it isnt and no amount of relogging and changing the current skill recovers the lost training. 4. i need to repackage my ship to fix a bug and loose the insurance. etc.
There are many bugs that do not fit into the "A GM will respond" categories, but nonetheless demand a GMs intervention.

Uh... so a dev actually responds to the community and you're complaining about that? Not just complaining, but being kind of rude.
I am very happy to see the devs posting more in the forums... it wasn't so long ago that people were complaining that the devs never listened, etc.

Once you get the e-mail that asks if the automated reply was enough help you need to say no and reply to that e-mail following the instructions in it.

SHUUUUT THEEEEEE FFFFFFAAAAWWWWK AAAAAAAP PLEASE!
I'm so happy for the feedback these last days you have no idea. For a dev to just come on here and say "sorry we messed up, fixing it" or whatever instead of eternal silence is a GUARANTEED way to keep customers playing.
I'm loving it, carry on mr Dev, how do you like your tea sir?

@ Nostradamu5:
Why don't you go "develop" a little common sense... or maybe "develop" a better attitude. Or perhaps "develop" a little respect for a group of people who probably know a hell of a lot more than you do about writing complex distributed software in a cluster environment.
It's a good thing I'm not a dev... The temptation to use my powers for evil would surely be too great to resist |
