Well, was originally a reply to a post but, tought i'd make a real post out of it..
What about the Asian bloodlines anyway? Lets look at EVE as it is now and always have been. (since early beta at least)
Amarr = A race, stations, ships, regions of their own, and a history. Minmatar = A race, stations, ships, regions of their own, and a history. Gallente = A race, stations, ships, regions of their own, and a history. Caldari = A race, stations, ships, regions of their own, and a history. Asian-whatever-to-be-called = A race, a history?, stations ships and a region?
Not to demand much from CCP, but if the "whole new bloodlines" only contain new faces.. I mean no race in eve contains just faces, even the Jove which we have only seen traces of have their own stuff, ancient screenshots of their stations and indys
I just want your toughts on all this, the most probable thing is just new faces and crap, but when i think of the idea to have an entire race in eve that is entirely compromised of faces.... I'd rather be without them. God i gotta change my sig..

Edited by: Haratu on 29/06/2004 12:56:35 There are many bloodlines in eve other than the current eight.
Here two such bloodlines, but there are many more:
Ammatars (minmatar race that follow the amarrian way, their stations exist between amarr and minmatar space)
Jovians (group of genetically enhanced super intelligent people, their stations are top right of map, currently unaccesable)
You are also given a special clue , the new bloodline is for caldari. This suggests that the bloodline comes from eiter within OR near the caldari state .
The resultant conclusion is that there are two answers. One is that the Caldari are creating a new, so far unannounced bloodline . Or secondly, the new bloodline is actually a race close to the caldari state .
It doesnt take geniuses to work out the possibilities... but all we can do is wait to see what happens.
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

Edited by: Baleur on 29/06/2004 12:59:31 well, thats true Haratu, tough khanid etc at least have their own "ships" (skins, since their "kingdom" is too weak?? to manufacture their own brand new designs)
So i just hope there will be some kind of new stuff, just to be able to distinct them from the others.
edit: And since Jove have their own models, they Got to play a big role in the world, someday.. Right? God i gotta change my sig..

They are caldari blood lines, so they probably share the Caldari history/ships etc. -

I find it a bit daft, if these are truly to be the new bloodlines, that they've been essentially pulled out of nowhere with no prior character development or mention. Why not give us the Ammatar and the Mannars to play with, or other such obscure bloodlines as have been mentioned in passing in various older fiction?
Bizarre.

Can i just get this straight...is the original poster suggesting that CCP introduce an `Asian Bloodline' into a future character set in EVE? Is this a wind-up?

consider this:
Deteis/Civire = The UK Population
New Asian Bloodlines = Middle East population.
maybe they'll migrate to Caldari space and the state will be nice enough to give them a fat wedge of benefits, a Hangar all of their own and even a washing machine, to wash their clothes after sitting around in their zero-g armchair doing sod all :D

I think the asian bloodlines will integrate with Amarr dudes because thus far CCP have favored Amarr in every possible way: hype of the "tournament" the news items are mostly Amarr, the bs with the most $ and isk value is the Imperial Apocalypse, this cathedral incedent, the whole 3 months dedicated to the emperor and his book/death. Just seems like they will be consistent and give the Amarr more bloodlines.
Its just as well, keep the other empires similar to their parrallels of today. ----------------------------------- about:blank |

With the ethnic relations skills it says that you can have amarr, caldaris, gallentes, minmatars in your corp and it also mentions pirates and joves. It might be that the new bloodline will be the pirates. Just a guess, lol.

Yea, heh. Sort of a cool one :/
Anyway. Doubt you can compare Caldari to the UK, as there society is much easier compared to the US. That, meaning the "ultraliberalist" way of thinking. If you're looking for a something to compare with, Gallente Fed. has many similarities to what you find in the EU (thereby also the UK). Long tradition of democracy, free market, etc, as is also found in the US. The method, however, is different.
Don't like to compare any of the EvE societies to rl myself, as they reflect political ideologies more, than they reflect any society we have in the real world imo.

yeah, no i dont compare the eve societies with any IRL societies either, but to be honest, caldari would be something like usa+europe, and amarr would be egypt/africa+south america, minmatar would be some kind of middle east/african tribe thing, and gallente some european/southwest european thing.. God i gotta change my sig..

Not a chance mate. Looking at their physical appearance, maybe, but in politics none of these exists in their raw form anywhere.
Right that there are some similarities to these areas. Caldari and Gallente have many similarities to europeans and americans, the Brutors of the Minmatar surely african or their descendants, have'nt been able to specify Sebiestors, other than descending from the punk and goth style subcultures. Strangely Amarr have many similarities to how eastern europeans look, but have'nt been able to match that with the whole empire thing, the Amarr, have going.

Well I have to agree that the fellow that posted the Caldari=UK is a bit off. I am aware of many many people that are not UK that are Caldari (Shocking news flash... this game has people other than UK that play... sorry to bust the bubble m8)
I would like to see the characteristics and nuances of the Caldari/Asian race. I think this would be pretty awesome. The Caldari sense of capitalism and free market with a flair of the bushido. This is a racial storyline I can wrap my mind around and could do a little bit of (Gasp) Role playing to.

Caldari are based on the japanese primarily with their philosophy of corp before self and the corp relationships between the big caldari corps akin to japanese zaibatsu.
